Chapter Seventy-four

CATHERINE POV

As time passed and I didn't hear from Bruce, I became increasingly worried. I couldn't understand why he would disappear like this, especially since we were expecting a baby together.

At first, I tried to convince myself that maybe he was just busy or had a family emergency. But as the days turned into weeks, my hope began to fade. I started to think about all the things that could have gone wrong but there was no clue whatsoever about what might have caused him to act that way except for the fact that I got pregnant.

Over the next few days, I didn't hear from Bruce at all. He didn't respond to my texts or calls, and he didn't show up to work. I didn't know what was going on, but I knew that I needed to talk to him. I tried to visit his house, but I realized that I didn't know where he lived. I didn't know how to find him or how to get in touch with him.

I asked around the office if anyone knew where Bruce lived, but no one had that information.
