As soon as I opened my eyes I knew something was wrong. The sun had just risen and my head felt clouded. But more importantly I couldn’t feel Azalea. I jumped out of bed frantically looking around. Her side of the bed was cold and her scent was barely in the room. I tried reaching out to her through our link, but there was nothing. I knew she wasn’t dead I wasn’t in pain, just panic. I threw on a shirt and linked out to those on patrol asking if anyone had seen her. And then I saw it. Her phone and something under it on the nightstand. I picked them both up and saw that it was addressed to me.
