Chapter 55 Don't leave

Enzo said to her with difficulty, "Caiden doesn't deserve all the love you have to give him. Once Kamara is gone, you will have his heart all to yourself." That didn't comfort her, though.

Jessie sprang to her feet, her nerves exploding. She tried to still her heart by placing her shaking hands on her chest. The thought that Caiden never forgot about Kamara hurt her so bad. The knowledge that they were now together, doing who knew what, was much worse. She sobbed. It was inevitable that a tear would fall. All she wanted to do was run to wherever he was and drag him away from there, bringing him home.

She wiped away her tears and set aside her anguish to tend to her brother's wounds. "We need to take care of these wounds," she said.

"I may not have murdered Kamara, but I certainly planted discord in her heart. Don't worry, Jessie," he stroked her damp face with his fingertips. "I'm sure that Kamara would never want to see Caiden in front of her again after what I said. I've ruined the
