Chapter 56 Seeking help

Matt tucked his hands into his jeans pockets and peered deeply at Nate. He suggested, "Let's go out for coffee and speak about it."

"I do not have time," Nate stated urgently. Nate was sweating profusely from every pore on his body. "Listen, four children have been kidnapped, and I must find them.

It sounded urgent, and he glanced at him with mistrust, knowing Nate was keeping a significant secret. "What is going on, Nate?"

"I can not go into much detail," he continued, wiping the sweat from his brow, "until I know I can count on you."

"Of course, you know can trust me, Nate," he replied, taking his hands out of his pockets and laying them on the man's shoulder. "Tell me when the police complaint was made. I will figure out who is behind the investigation."

"No report was made," he said, raising Matt's suspicions. "They are the children of the woman suspected of killing a woman in the city a few weeks back."
