Chapter 51 A challenge

Everything had been planned. Her heart ached deeply when she understood this. What Enzo was saying made perfect sense if the death of Kamara's parents was caused by Caiden's father. She struggled and screamed for a few minutes before collapsing against the dry, broken branches, exhausting her completely. She appeared broken. Her body was already feeble and her she-wolf was too weak to keep her alive. Enzo laughed again as he was happy with how much joy he was taking in Kamara's anguish.

"Why do you detest me so much?" Enzo growled loudly and frighteningly, curling his lips.

He said, "For your existence, Kamara," in a tone so cold and lifeless that Kamara felt her spine tingle. "You ought to have died with your parents. In our world, you are a waste of space.
