Chapter 41 A woman

It appeared as though the man had endured a struggle just to survive. Caiden could feel the man's trepidation when he got out of the car and looked him in the eye.

He approached the car and politely inquired, "Are you coming from up there?" as he examined the damaged engine. "The engine in this car doesn't look good."

"Yes, I was up there some hours ago," he said. Caiden was repulsed by his foul breath and crooked teeth teeth. "The mountains are extremely chilly. The cold bothers me."

Caiden examined his wounded leg."What is wrong with your leg?"

He saw how horrified the man grew at that inquiry when he glanced at him.

He blurted, "I was bitten by a dog," which Caiden found quite odd. "I was heading toward the hospital in my car."

Then Caiden approached him while staring.

The man's face went pale, "I'm searching for four kidnapped boys, and I've been told they're in the mountains."
