Kaya

For reassurance of my own safety, Wolfe let me stay at my parents' home while he was helping the police capture the mystery killer. I was a little anxious about everything, not that I was worried about Wolfe having to protect himself, because I knew he could. I was only worried about him having to wolf out in front of all those people. Him keeping his truth a secret was a top priority. Who knew what might happen if the people find out a werewolf has lived in the woods all these years. They might see him as a threat and we had more than enough problems as it is.

"Kaya, I'm going out shopping, okay?" said my mom on her way to the door.

I kept my eyes on my screen so I wouldn't get distracted from playing candy crush and all I said, "Sure, Mom." Knock yourself out with shopping, because that's surely is a normal thing to do while the police is out there hunting for a serial killer.
