Hidden Beauty

I watched him take giant strides to the centre of the attic from my hiding place

"Where are you Venus" he grunted and I hurriedly crouched out of my hiding place. "Here I am Uncle" I stuttered and turned my gaze to the floor

"And what did you just call me?" He asked angrily and I looked up to behold anger and hatred in his eyes "Are you deaf?" He asked and he began to advance towards me "no Uncle" I stuttered moving backwards as he began to close in on me "and what did you say again" I let out a sharp gasp as my back suddenly hit the wall "tell me!' he yelled and my heart almost jumped out of my chest

"How dare you call me your uncle" the question came as a shock to me but as I searched my head for an answer he suddenly gripped my neck and pushed me hard against the wall

"I am not your uncle"he said slowly, clenching his teeth and tightening his grip around my neck "I hate you with each drop of blood in my veins,I hate you so much I could rip you in pieces,my hatred for you is so raw, it sets my heart ablaze"

The words shattered my heart as they settled in my ears and a cold wave of fear descended on me at the same time I was choking

"Let go of me" I managed to say stifling the cough that was threatening to escape my throat "let go of me please"

"No, you let go of me" he screamed and pushed me to the floor "let go of my fortune,my title,my good life and my honour" He paused for a moment and stood over me "you are my nightmare come to life,my worst fear,I wish I'd killed you the instant that slut who birthed you dropped you outside. No one must know of your existence,no one must know Darvyn has an heir or I'd los everything, I'd lose everything I've worked for"

He exhaled deeply, walked away from me and suddenly kicked the old ottoman in the centre of the room shattering it into pieces, then he grabbed me by the shoulders and yanked me to my feet

"You're going to have to die someway Venus" he said "I can't let you live,I can't let your destroy me but since Serlia already placed a curse on me I have no choice but to keep your hidden from the world" He paused and breathed out deeply after saying those words then he let go of me

"This attic is your home from now on Venus, this is where you'll live and sleep and everything until I figure out what to do with you. Early in the morning you wake up and do your duties like a slave that your prostitute mother birthed you to be, you do your duties early in the morning and the other servants will take over the cleaning in the afternoon just so no one would see you"

And ever since then, I've been a slave, toiling and working for the family, sometime when no one's in sight I sneak out and watch their visitors from the safety of my hideout. I usually wondered what people would say if they saw me but no one would ever see me,I just know that and this might the end of me after all.

"Who is that fool knocking my door" Tedros barked after I knocked his door,Madame ordered me to clean up his room and the thoughts of what I might behold inside scared me,"I said who is at my door" he asked again and I shook the thoughts and straightened up

"It's me Alpha Tedros, it's Venus, Madame asked me to clean up your room"

"And who said my room needed cleaning"

"I don't know Alpha, it's what I was asked to do"

I heard Tedros grunt and then footsteps approaching the door,then it was thrown open

"Good morning Alpha" I greeted but he only eyed me from head to toe contemptuously and walked back into his room "make your cleaning fast,I need to get back to sleep"

"Okay" I muttered slowly "but wouldn't you excuse me for a moment?"

"Why,so that you can steal my valuables, I'm standing here"

I nodded slowly and proceeded to cleaning up the room, begining with the bed

"Some nerve you have locking your door now" he suddenly asked and when I turned to look, the lustful look is back on face

"Why are you so stubborn Venus"

I swallowed hard, ignored his question and proceeded to his dressing table but then I suddenly felt his presence behind me but before I could turn back he slipped his hand over my mouth from behind

"Why don't I just take you here right now, it'll be less painful than you're imagining and no one will know anything plus I can make your life much more comfortable"

He began to trail his tongue down my neck "I can always get you good food and I'll take you out to see the moon, I can also convince mother to let you take some days off"

"I can't do what you're saying My lord" I whispered "please let me go"

"But you let me kiss you last week"

"I did that because you promised me hot coffee and a new blanket "

"And I'm offering you more,my lust for you is so strong Venus,it consumes me inside, please and you'll have everything you'll ever need"

At that,I struggled to free myself out of his grip but then he yanked me and pushed me to the bed,the shock which I felt numbed my mind for a second and before I could recover Tedros was already stripping me,I attempted a scream but he was faster than me

"Please Tedros, please I beg of you"

"Tedros,are you in there"

The sudden call brought a silence as knocking sounds came on the door

"Tedros are you awake yet"

"Lunar" I gasped and jumped off the bed,I hurriedly adjusted my looks and started sweeping the floor. Tedros let out a growl of anger and frustration and walked to the door

"What do you want Mom" he asked but The Lunar walked past him into the room, she cast a cold glance at me but I ignored her and continued sweeping

"Hey you" she said to me "excuse us"

"Yes Lunar" I answered with a nod and walked out of the room and the door was slammed shut behind me. I decided to go to the ladies room but my legs won't move away from the door step,I began to wonder what the Lunar couldn't say in my presence,not that I should care but at that moment, curiosity overwhelmed me and I slowly leaned on the door and placed my ears to it

"Where are your sisters Tedros?" I heard the lunar ask with worry and frustration in her voice "Where did they pass the night,I went to their chambers very early this morning but they weren't inside,their beds had not been slept in, tell me Tedros where are your sisters?"

"Don't raise your voice at me mother" Tedros replied sheepishly "I don't know where Edaleen and Franshia are, and I don't care"

"What nonsense Tedros, shouldn't you be worried about them, they're your sisters"

"Why should I worry about them mother, they're not children and they probably went to a party or some sleepover orgy"

A moment of silence passed and I leaned closer to the door,if I got caught at this moment in this position, I'd be in big trouble but for some reasons I didn't feel scared at that moment

"When will your sisters stop this bad attitude" The Lunar shouted and I could feel the tension in her voice "first off, it's not safe to travel around the kingdom now that werewolf rouges are attacking people and stealing from them. Two, how will The Alpha's son propose marriage to Franshia if she isn't of good character and reputation. Your sisters are not the type meant for a rough life but they don't want to realise it. Do you know what would happen if your father learns they've been partying and drinking"

"I don't care Mom"

"Ohh shut up Tedros" she paused for a moment "We need the marriage union,it's a big opportunity for us and I can't let your sisters ruin it for us"

"I don't care Mom and you're intruding on me, I need to get back to sleep"

My mind pictured Tedros falling back onto the bed and as footsteps began to approach the door I hurriedly ran away. I was glad I wouldn't have to clean Tedros room anymore but what's going on with the pack,I wondered, what union were they talking about and why did the Lunar talk about it with so many empathy in her voice. And what did the so called union have to offer them. Anyway I shook off the thoughts and went outside to wash the windows as the Lunar had locked the girls room which also made happy.
