Chapter Fifty Three

Kelsey returned to the backyard and met Janet clearing the table. She sighed in relief and joined her to do so.

"Thank you so much, Janet." Kelsey appreciated her and took the empty tray from her.

"It's nothing Kelsey. You know you can count on me anytime." Janet replied. She gathered the crumbs and stuffed them in the bin beside the table.

The ladies cleared the table and moved to the living room. Kelsey sunk onto the couch and let out a groan of relief.

Janet smiled and left for the kitchen. She returned with a bottle of cold water and passed it to Kelsey.

Kelsey snatched the bottle away from Kelsey. "Thank you so much, Janet."

Janet smiled. "So how are you doing Keley?"

Kelsey drank the whole water in the bottle and took off her jacket. She flung it. "I'm doing great Janet but I'm damn tired."

"Are you sure?" Janet asked.

Kelsey sat up. Why is Janet so concerned about her wellbeing? Did she notice anything odd about her conversation with the women earlier? Could Janet be suspecti

What does he have up his sleeve. Please stop using colloquialisms when you don’t look them up. Saying them wrong looks really bad.
