I led Alpha Darius around the pack with the grace and poise befitting my title. We walked along the well-trodden paths that wound through the heart of the pack’s territory, passing by bustling training grounds, tranquil gardens, and the homes of the pack members who greeted me with respect.

Darius followed me closely, his eyes lingering on me more often than on the scenery I was showing him.

As we toured the pack, Darius asked questions, seemingly interested in the daily life of the pack members, but his gaze often drifted to me, his eyes holding a hint of something more than mere curiosity.

He complimented my leadership, admiring the way I balanced my role as Luna with being a mother to my twins.

Each compliment was laced with a charm that bordered on flirtation, a smoothness in his voice that suggested his intentions were more than friendly.

I felt a slight unease creeping into my mind. There was something about Darius, I couldn’t quite place.
