CHAPTER FORTY-THREE

SARA

My anger propelled through me as I walked in the corridors, my destination clear in my mind. I needed answers, and I needed them now.

When I reached the throne room, I threw the doors open, my fury giving me the strength to face Eden despite the pain that was threatening to overwhelm me.

Eden was seated on his throne, his expression cold and unreadable as he looked up at me. For a moment, we simply stared at each other, the tension between us was thick and palpable. Unable to hold back any longer, the words erupted from me in a torrent of emotion.

“How could you do this to me? How could you bring that woman into our home, into our bedroom, and disrespect me like this? She told me to move to the guest room, that my place is no longer here!” I demanded, my voice was trembling with both anger and hurt.
