CHAPTER THREE

                                                              SARA

“I asked you a question,what did you just say? He roared. I cursed myself internally.Why can't i just keep quiet?

He yanked me away from Aldo and pulled my hair. He started dragging me out of the diner room.

Everyone was clearing the way for him. No one dared come to my rescue.

I was crying and pleading. He pulled my hair more with force,dragging me to his room.

“I would teach you a lesson of your life today!” He said angrily.

He kicked the door of his room open and pushed me inside. I fell to the ground and hurt my arm.

“You dirty human, you dared to call me names! After I warned you.” He slapped my cheek hard.

My cheek was bruised immediately with a cut in my lips.

“Please.” I was crying and begging.

“You don’t have an idea what I can do to you Sara.” He said leaning towards my face.

He grabbed me from the floor and threw me on the bed. He towered over me and tore my dress with his claws in seconds.

Fear gripped me as I thought of the worst. Suddenly there was a knock on the door.

“Who is there?” He asked angrily.

“Your visitors are here.” Aldo’s voice came from the other side of the door.

“We are not done.” He growled. He adjusted his shirt and walked out.

I laid there crying hard. Aldo walked in and carried me in his arms from the room. He took me to my room and immediately sent for Aries.

Aries arrived with a medical box. I laid there,facing down. I was too weak and shattered. I just want to die. After all, I'm dying soon.

Aries started cleaning and treating my wounds. She gasped when she saw my scars.

Aldo walked close and saw the scars“ Oh my God! Who did this to you?” He asked, shocked.

“Who would do this to a lady?” He asked again angrily.

“It’s nothing.” I replied. I didn’t want to talk about it, besides who would believe me when I say my father gave me these scars. Aldo walked out angrily.

Aries finished cleaning my wounds and allowed me to rest. I couldn’t sleep, I was tossing and turning in my bed.

I got up and walked to the balcony of my room. Everywhere was dark outside. I walked back inside and decided to explore the palace.

I stepped outside my room and walked along the long corridor.I came across a large room with plenty of books. I was happy. I looked for a book and settled on a book about werewolves.

I slept off on the couch while reading, a noise woke me up. I noticed a blanket on me. I remembered I didn’t come to the library with a blanket.

“Are you not supposed to be in your room?” I heard Eden’s voice from the corner of the room.

I gasped and sat up. He walked close to me and leaned over. I mustered some courage and looked into his eyes. His eyes shone as he looked at my body slowly from up to down.

He was shirtless,my eyes moved to his V-lined down below his waist, I gulped as my eyes locked with his.

He moved closer to me, trapping me in between his hands. I noticed a big scar on his shoulder,I wondered what happened to him.

He pulled me closer, holding my hips. I gasped. He was acting strange.

He leaned close to my lips,making attempts to kiss me. I wiggled out of his grip and ran to my room. I entered my room and locked the door, breathing hard.

                                                 ALPHA KING EDEN

After the meeting with the visitors. I was too tired and headed over to my room.

I got to my room and entered my bathroom , a bath had already been prepared for me. I relaxed, laying my back in the bathtub.

I thought to myself I have a lot of work to do. Some people are trying to trade in my pack lands. I need to do some findings about them and research on the land I would be willing to give out for trading.

I headed to the library to get some books to help with my research. It was late in the night so the corridor was quiet.

Walking inside the library, I found the books I needed and headed to the couch to read. I was shocked to see Sara sleeping on the couch.I stepped closer and noticed she was wearing a night dress showing a glimpse of her perky breast.

Her nipples wear pointed on the silky night dress she was wearing. She was shivering, so I covered her with a blanket nearby. Why am I doing this? I asked myself internally.

I watched her for a while, she looked peaceful while asleep. My eyes darted to the book on her laps, why was she reading a book about werewolves? when she’s a human.

I headed to a table and chair at the far end of the library and dug into my research.

Some minutes later, I heard her body movement. She’s awake. She looked confused and wondered where the blanket came from.

“Are you not supposed to be in your room?” I asked, arching my brow. She gasped when she saw me and looked terrified.

I got up and walked slowly towards her.I trapped her In between the couch with my hands leaning towards her, my eyes were on her perky breast.

She lifted her face and looked at my eyes. Our eyes interlocked, I felt something strange.

I leaned closer to inhale her scent but she wiggled her way out and ran to her room. I heard the door jammed. I groaned annoyingly.

I walked back to my room “ what was that feeling earlier?” I asked myself as I laid on my bed. I threw the duvet on myself and fell asleep.

The morning was cool as I looked outside through the window, watching people come and go in my pack land.

Immediately, I saw someone wearing a blue dress with strapped hands falling off her shoulders. Her hair was in a messy bun, with light makeup.

A maid was right next to Sara as she walked in the garden.She was smiling at whatever the little maid was telling her. I was watching her every move, her body movements and her smiles.

A knock  at my door brought me back from my thoughts and Aldo walked in “My Alpha.” He bowed.

“What time is my meeting with the councilmen?” I asked with a frown.

“They are already waiting in the throne room.” He informed me.

“Good, tell Sara to meet me at the throne room, she should wear a beautiful dress.” I said walking out of my room.

I walked into the throne room and the murmuring stopped. I know why they are here. I relaxed on my chair waiting for Sara to end these disturbances from the councilmen.

“Where is this stupid human girl?” I questioned myself impatiently.

Suddenly the door opened and she walked in with her head up high.

“You sent for me your majesty?” She asked, Bowing.

I stretched out my hands to her and she took it. “ You are late! You don’t dare keep the king waiting, now play along and brighten your face.” I whispered harshly to her.

The council elders' eyes were on Sara and I. I pulled her to my lap while I sat on my throne.

“As you all can see, this is my fiancée. Sara is a princess from a neighboring pack.

“Why did you keep it a secret from all of us?” One of the councilmen asked.

“ I wanted to wait for the upcoming ball to introduce her to everyone, I have introduced my fiancée to you all, you can now get off my back.” I growled.

“Yes Alpha.” They all replied.

As the council elders left the throne room, I turned to Sara “ Don’t ever keep me waiting again! If I requested for you, I expect you to run over.” I ordered.

She nodded, with her head bowed. She was wearing a beautiful white dress, exposing her shoulders and some of her scars but her hair was covering the most part.

I summoned Aldo and asked him to get Sara prepared for the upcoming ball.

I need to tighten up security, I have a lot of enemies and the news of my fake engagement will spread soon. Sara would be the target.
