Chapter 69

Rachel’s POV

“Good evening, Luna." I greeted her and bowed. If Luna eventually finds out that David wants me back as his mate and I refuse, it might bring enmity between us, and I don’t want that to happen.

“How are you, Rachel?” She asked and formed a smile. With the smile she wore, I confirmed that she didn’t hear what David and I were talking about.

“I am very well; thank you.” I answered and smiled back at her.

“Is David in?” She asked and pointed to his door.

Yes, he is.” She walked in, and I left for my room.

I felt relieved as I told David my answer. I went back to my room, and not too long after, the day was finally over.

It was another morning, and we were all at school. The principal gathered us together to inform us about our prom, which will be in three weeks. I can’t believe how time flies so quickly.

Some months ago, it felt quite far, but now it’s just three weeks, and we are done with high school.

Rachel: At some point I wanted high school to pass quickly, but now it’
