Chapter 22: Second Thoughts

(Donovan's POV)

My feelings became more and more mixed up as time went on. My allegiance to my pack, on the one hand, and the gravity of the deception that we were attempting to pull off, on the other, fought a relentless and uphill battle within me.

I know that secrets sometimes are meant to be kept, but there's something between my mind that I cannot stop thinking about. There's a lot of misconceptions that is happening that I wanted to end.

All over this time, I wanted to keep my loyalty for the pack as much as possible. I want to keep on string for good, it always need a persistence to have communication with the Alpha, although some of the moments that I took was pretty risky, I have to do it all for the pack.

Exhilaration and guilt were the feelings that I had whenever I obtained fresh knowledge that had the potential to destabilize the alliance.

The boundary between good and wrong had become increasingly hazy, and I felt as though I were walking a dangerous tightrope.
