Chapter 27: Force of Unity

(Davien's POV)

Lexus's appearance was met with a mixture of surprise and anticipation. Hera and I exchanged a knowing glance, silently acknowledging that this encounter held a deeper significance than our previous interactions with my enigmatic brother.

Lexus's eyes, as enigmatic as ever, darted between the two of us before settling on Hera. "You two seem to share an uncommon bond," he said.

Hera met his gaze with confidence. "Our bond is built on the belief that unity is possible, even among beings as different as vampires and supernatural creatures."

Lexus's lips curled into a faint, contemplative smile. "Unity, indeed. It's a concept I've struggled to embrace, but recent events have left me questioning my convictions."
