Lisa gasped out as she clutched Kiara's hands tightly. “Go with him, Kiara, please,” she pleaded. “You can't leave your kids.”

Kiara clenched her fists, with frustration etching her features. “Why are you doing this, Cass?” she asked as she climbed out of the car to stand beside him. “This isn't you. This isn't the Cass I knew.” Cass turned to face her while his finger jabbed towards her face.

“You caused this, Kiara,” Cass snarled. “If only you had noticed how much I loved you," Cass continued with his voice rising. "I silently begged for your attention, but you only saw me as a beta to Aiden.

“You're so blind, Kiara. He doesn't deserve your forgiveness after what he did to you. I tried to tell you, but you hit me." Cass's eyes were wild, his expression fierce.

Kiara stared back as her heart began to race anger and confusion. She had always thought of Cass as a friend and a loyal confidant.
