Chapter 4

He looked at me for a few seconds. My heart was beating so fast and loud, I can bet that he was hearing my heart pounding, he turned and walked to the other side of the bed and lay down.

I was surprised and confused, supposed to come out of me, torn my clothes and have sex with me, just like monsters do ? I thought to myself, while my eyes were on him,was he really sleeping?

“Aren’t you tired?” He asked me to bring out my thoughts. I nodded still scared that he would get offended by my response but surprisingly he smiled.

“Then we should go to sleep, I am tired too, I’m going to sleep.” He said, while closing his eyes, I was kind of surprised this was not what I expected.

I stood up from the bed, I wasn’t sure about sleeping on the same bed with him, he might just wake up in the night and slit my throat, the thought of seeing my head out of my body gave me a scare.

“Isabella, do you think you are overreacting?” Bella asked.

“What do you mean?”

“Why I know both of us has heard a lot of frightening rumors about him, but have you ever wondered if they were true, like have you ever seen a monster play with kids and acting like a baby, when we came we saw the way Ethan was playing with those girls does he seem like a monster?” Bella asked.

“You never can tell, and besides we can’t be sure if those rumors are fake, it is better to be on the safe side.” I replied to her.

“And you think, if he wanted to kill us, he wouldn’t have done it since, why do he have to wait until we sleep before slitting our throats.” Bella said.

I thought about it for a second and decided to ignore her and do what I wanted to do. I'm not ready to die yet. I looked around the room, trying to find a piece of cloth or bedsheet to spread on the floor, so I could sleep on it.

  Thank goodness, I was able to see one in the wardrobe. I took it and I was about to spread it on the floor. When I turned my head I saw a figure sitting on the bed and staring at me.

 I was so frightened that I wanted to scream but I immediately held my mouth. It was Ethan, but I thought he was sleeping already, how come he is now watching like a ghost.

  “What are you doing?” He asked looking at me, with a confused look, the question scared me, what I’m I going to tell him now? I can’t tell him I’m afraid that he will slit my throat at night if I’m sleeping.

“I…. A..m… hmm” I stammered, I was so scared and confused about what it said, his eyes were on me, waiting for my response.

“I thought… I will be disturbed… your sleep that is why I wanted to sleep on the floor.” I lied, closing my eyes, praying that he wouldn't notice my lies.

“Okay, you don’t have to do that, you are my wife, you should sleep on the bed, come and sleep.” He said while gesturing for me to come to the bed, I walked to him and lay on the bed. I was so tired that I didn’t know when I drifted to sleep.

ETHAN POV

 I looked at her sleeping so soundly, I guess she was tired from the wedding and the journey, I couldn’t take my eyes from her, I knew she had heard the rumors about me that is probably why she is so scared of me, I couldn’t blame her, she was so far from me, she was lying on the edge of the bed my wolf was craving for her touch so badly.

I drew her closer to me carefully, she was fast asleep, she didn’t notice, I wrapped my hands around her waist and held her tightly, her skin was so soft and warm, holding her gave me this weird feeling of calmness, I felt so safe in her hands, I just couldn’t help but imagined how she will take it when she found out that I’m her mate. Will she be happy? Or will she be upset? The thought of her being upset broke me, that was not what I wanted.

I remember the day I saw her, from her window, that was the day I knew she was my mate, I felt the mate bond and I was so excited, I went to her father to discuss so business when I felt the mate bond pull and the sweet scent of strawberries, i followed the scent and then I mate her, I know she won’t feel it now because she is not of age.

So I told her father I wanted to marry her and promised to compensate him dearly with money and properties , at first I thought he will refused because of my bad reputation and the rumors about me nor that he has any power to tell me not to marry his daughter, I just don’t want to forcefully marry his daughter without  his consent, but to my greatest surprise, he agreed, I guess because of the money and property I promised to give him after the marriage, I compensated him after the marriage, I gave me a contract worth of 200 million dollars, and also gave him a share of my company.

 I looked at the woman in my hands and smiled, she was sleeping so soundly, when I looked at her lips, I couldn’t help it, I wanted to feel her lips, with my lips, I wanted to kiss her so badly but I quickly control my self, I don’t want to kiss her without her consent, I want her to be the one to ask for it. I looked at her one more time before I drifted off to sleep.

AUTHOR POV

Isabella was awake but she felt too tired to open her eyes, or she wanted to sleep some more, but reality hit her, when she remembered that she was married not just anyone to the alpha king, the man rumored to be  a monster.

She wanted to open her eyes but she felt something holding her waist, she immediately opened her eyes and saw a hand wrapped around her waist, she traced the direction of the hold and found out that it was Ethan hand, at first she was shocked, but when she stare at her face, he looks so childish and innocent, if not only she heard rumors about it, she would have sworn that this guy beside her can’t even kill a fly.

Looking closer to him she couldn’t help but notice how handsome he looks. He was the most handsome person she had ever seen, his lips were so soft that she wanted to kiss him. He raised her hands and was about to touch his face when he moved. She tripped and her lips met his lips. She was so shocked, her eyes were wide open, she didn’t believe that her lips were on Ethan's lips, she wanted to pull away but Ethan held her and deepened the kiss.

They both pulled out and fell asleep.

Next morning….

Isabella woke up in a pull of blood…

What happened…

She scanned the room and saw two dead bodies on the bed..

She couldn’t believe her eyes, she saw Ethan standing beside the dead bodies, his body covered in blood, his eyes darkened and reflecting rage…
