Chapter Twenty XVI
"Fuck it," Vincent murmured.
When Celestine left, he did nothing but curse himself. It was his plan, to hurt her yet now that he has already done it, guilt is eating him up.
Celestine and he aren't supposed to be together. They shouldn't cross the boundary that fate has built for them because Celestine was the forbidden apple that he shouldn't taste, yet he did. It was a sin for Celestine and him to be happy in each other's arms. It was a sin for them to be together.
He had sin once and even though he's evil, he couldn't afford to be a sinner again for an angel like her. However, something feels heavy in his chest. It was suffocating him, he was lost for words to explain what he's feeling but when the corner of his eyes started to get warm, he had only one word to describe what he felt and its; pain.
It was not Celestine's slap that hurt him but her teary eyes that were directly looking to his eyes when she uttered the words, 'I hate you.' with certainty

Celestine struggled to get her hair out from Alice's hand but it seems impossible for her to remove her hair from Alice because of the tightness and pressure she's putting into holding her hair firmly.
