Chapter Twenty XI

Celestine just found herself touching her lips as she get inside the bathroom. The softness of Vincent's lips lingered to her lips like the time had not passed and it's been just a couple of seconds since he kissed her.

"You're crazy," she said to herself while shaking her head, trying to remove the smile on her lips.

After the kiss, no one dares to break the awkward silence between them. They just stay in each other's arms while looking at the sea.

Vincent's kiss calmed her down. She didn’t know how it was able to convince her of trusting him just by kissing her but as expected, it convinced her.

She doesn’t want to trust anyone. Living with the mafia has taught her that she shouldn't trust anyone because if she does, it'll be the end of her.

Anyone can betray her, she's aware of that. But out of all the people that surrounded them, Vincent is the only one who she can trust, for now.
