Chapter 5

Day 3

"Aww... Isn't this romantic?" Natalie said as she wiped her fake tears. Autumn and Aiko look at each other as they sigh.

"It is romantic but Patima doesn't even like roses," Aiko said then raise the roses that are on the table.

"Hey, guys!" The three looks up then saw Sky with a big smile on her face. She sat down beside Autumn then look at the table.

"Ohhh... Roses, who gave this?" She picked it up then look at the three in curiosity. Autumn sigh then looks around.

"Daisuke, he wanted to surprise Patima with flowers," she said, pointing at Daisuke and his friends' table. Sky put down the roses then nod her head in understanding.

"It's romantic but Patima doesn't like roses, she prefers daisies to roses" Sky stated.

Aiko look at her then nodded her head.

"Yeah, that Daisuke guy never really know Patima but can still pull these things off, that's just a big turn-off," she said.

"I don't even know why Patima liked him that much, I mean, yeah, he is beautiful and all but his attitude and egotism got him to throw off," Natalie said.

"Well, we need to wait until Patima comes and picks this up," Autumn said to them.

Another person came then sigh heavily that made them look at her.

"You look upset Amber, what's the catch?" Sky asks her. The tan-skinned girl sighs again before looking at them.

"MJ, he can't come to school right now" the others furrow their eyebrows at what the tan-skinned girl just said.

"Huh? That's new" Aimi walks up to their table then sat down beside Aiko.

"Yeah, I never saw MJ skipping class or not attending" Aiko agreed.

"That guy won't listen to me, he insisted on buying daisies yesterday when he knows that he has an allergy to them but he still insists" Natalie, Sky, and Autumn look at each other, surprised.

"Wait, you mean he has an allergy? I didn't know" Aimi stated.

Natalie looks at everyone at the table before clearing her throat.

"Guys, I saw MJ with Patima yesterday, MJ gave Patima daisies while his neck was red..."

"You are a disgrace! Why didn't you told anyone that you have seen your brother!?" Mr. Takahashi's voice can be heard in all of the four corners of Takahashi's residence.

Patima is currently sitting on a single couch while Mr. Takahashi is in front of her, scolding her. Someone told Mr. Takahashi that Patima's brother goes to their school. And he has been seen together with Patima when they both walk out of the principal's office. Patima rolled her eyes mentally then sigh silently.

"Honey, Patima doesn't have anything with-" Mr. Takahashi glare at Mrs. Takahashi that made her shut up.

"You, you can't even control your children! What the hell are you doing!?" Mr. Takahashi stated while pointing his finger at Mrs. Takahashi. The oldest lady of Takahashi lowers her head while mumbling a quiet sorry. Patima stands up from her seat that got the attention of Mr. Takahashi.

"And where the hell are you going!?" Mr. Takahashi asks her. Patima bows down then grab her backpack.

"I still need to go to school, I'll tell you if I saw my brother again," Patima said while her eyes are fixed on the floor.

'Of course, I won't, I'm not your dog or your tail Mister.'

Mr. Takahashi smirks then pats Patima's shoulder.

"That's why I like you to be my child, good job, keep up the good work," Mr. Takahashi said that made Patima nods her head.

"I'll get going now" Patima walk past her parents but got stop when Mr. Takahashi called her.

"Patima, I'll place a hundred thousand in your card" Patima just nods her head then walk out of their house.

Patima sighs as soon as her feet landed on the floor. Her eyes became teary as she looks back at their house. She walks away, not minding the driver who's calling her with her car keys.

"I hate my life" she mumbled to herself then look at the house in front of them as she steps out of their property.

"Is he still here?" She asks herself then check out MJ's house.

She eyed the house intently then shrugged her shoulder. She starts to walk away while complaining inside her mind. This is how she starts her day whenever she saw her father. Complain about why she is his daughter, complain about how she doesn't want this life yet he gave it, complain about how scared her mother is, complain about everything.

Her head is full of complaints about her life. She doesn't care if someone heard her then they get hurt after.

"Patima!" The girl snapped out of her thought when someone called her. She looks up then saw Amber, looking at her intently.

"Hey, Amber...?" Patima asks then looks at the tan-skinned girl.

Amber grabs Patima's wrist then drags her towards the cafeteria.

"Hey! What the hell are you doing!?" Patima asks her but the small girl didn't pay attention to her. They finally arrive inside the cafeteria as their friends all stand up then look at the tallest among them.

"Hey! Why are you all looking at me like that?" Patima asks them as she gets uncomfortable with their stares. Autumn then grabs the roses on the table before giving them to Patima.

"Daisuke wants to give this to you, he said that he'd like to have a date with you and talk about you two's relationship," she said. Patima grabs the roses half-heartedly then looks at Autumn.

  

"Uhh... I think I can me-" her words got cut off when the bell starts to ring.

"That's our cue, bye Patima!" Aimi, Natalie, and Autumn all walk out of the cafeteria while waving their hands at the younger.

"Well, I still need to meet Chris because we have our project" Sky grabs her backpack as she walks towards the door.

"By the way..." Patima, Aiko, and Amber look at Sky in confusion. The older girl smiles at them.

"Your classes will start in an hour so don't go away from school ok? Autumn will scold me since I'm left with you all earlier" she eyed the three that made the youngest sigh then nod their heads.

Sky walks out of the cafeteria with a smile while the youngest look at each other. Patima places the roses on the table then sat down in front of Amber and Aiko.

"Hey, uhh... Did you two see... MJ?" Patima asks the two. Amber and Aiko look at each other than at Patima.

"You didn't know?" Aiko asks her. Patiima crease her eyebrows at what Aiko said.

"What? Did I miss something?" Patima asks them. The two look at each other than at Patima.

"Oh my... That's just the worst, she doesn't know anything, MJ didn't tell her anything!" Amber said as she places her elbow on the table then cover her face with her both hands.

"Wait, what are you two even talking about?" Patima asks them.

Aiko look at Amber then sigh.

"Well, MJ is aller-" Aiko's words got cut off when someone approaches their table.

"Patima, hey, can we talk?" The three look up and saw Daisuke smiling at her. Amber and Aiko rolled their eyes at the guy. Patima flashed a smile then look at the two in front of them who's currently glaring at Daisuke.

"Uhh... Yeah, sure" Patima smiles at him. Daisuke smiles back then offers his hand for her then she looks at the two.

Amber and Aiko don't seem to care about her decision as they continue to glare at the guy.

"Hey..." The two look up and met Patima's eyes, looking down on them. They both flash a fake smile before they nod.

"Go on, don't mind us" they both smile at her then go back at glaring at the guy. Patima sigh then walks away, following Daisuke. They both stop in the middle of a hallway with just the both of them.

"Uhhmm... Can we... Uhh... Hang out later?" Daisuke faced Patima that started the girl. Patima looks down as she fidgets her fingers together.

"Uhh... I'm not sure, MJ might-" Daisuke hiss that made Patima look up.

"MJ, MJ, MJ... I'm here Patima, why can't you just forget that Wassabi guy?" Daisuke asks her.

"He's not even here in the first place and you only gave him a chance then that one month you'll be with me, I can't wait to be with you Patima, please, let's hang out" he stated. Patima looks down at her feet.

'Isn't that called betrayal? If I agreed on Daisuke, I'll just betray MJ and don't want to do that just because he's not here.'

"Patima, think about it ok? We can hide that we're back with each other then you'll be happy and MJ won't notice it..." Daisuke started.

"I'll give you time with MJ but give me time as well, you and I can be happy and when MJ is out of sight, then we'll continue our relationship," Daisuke said.

Patima sigh.

'Wow, I feel like I'm going to cheat on MJ when I accept Daisuke's proposal.'

"I promise I'll be a better person Pat, just trust me" Patima look up and saw Daisuke's pleading face.

The girl sigh then nods her head slowly.

"Alright, just don't let anyone know about this," Patima said.
