Chapter 3

Day 1

"You agreed!?" I nod my head as Natalie and Sky both look at me with surprised expressions.

Even, I couldn't believe myself agreeing with what MJ just told me earlier.

Here I am now, in the cafeteria with Natalie and Sky because the three of us have the same schedule when it comes to lunch.

Though, I am a little late because their lunch starts 10 minutes earlier than mine.

Dylan still has class, same with Aiko, but Autumn is busy with the school papers.

Yep, she's preparing the school papers which I don't understand at all. Shouldn't that be the school principal's doing?

But I did hear that there are incoming exchange students from Texas, it is stated that there are two girls and three boys coming.

Though I'm not sure, it's just a rumor.

"Oi, what if you caught feelings while doing the said workout? I'm worried Pat," Natalie said, giving me a worried look.

I smile and shake my head before sipping on my strawberry smoothie.

What are we? In some kind of a novel where he just asks for help and I'll fall in love because I slipped and he catches me?

Like my heart would beat like a mad man, there will be butterflies in my stomach, and I'll feel a little awkward around him?

And pfft... Me? Falling in love? That's impossible. I have a high standard and surely, MJ won't fit in my standard.

Sure, he's slightly attractive but I know he'll never be in my mind when it comes to jumping into a relationship.

And yeah, it's weird since MJ just called this one-month thing a 30 Days Workout... Like, are we even in the gym to work out?

But it seems like he's trying to improve and prove something this month.

Whatever, I'll just help him with that.

"You look great, honey," Mom said as she smiles and places her hand on my shoulder.

Yua said we have to wear formal clothing so I wore the nicest dress in my closet. Mom helped me with my makeup.

I don't want the makeup that'll make me look like a clown so Mom does it naturally. 

"I did you greatly, you look more beautiful, sweetie" Mom complimented.

I smile at her in the mirror before she looks around my vanity. 

"I think you need a necklace, let me see," she said before opening my drawers, where all the necklaces are located.

My eyes caught something making me smile.

It's a bracelet, MJ’s gift when I turn 10. He even told me that she couldn't afford high-end stuff like what my other friends gave me and since he and his mother are both at the supermarket, they passed by a store where he bought the bracelet.

He said it reminds him of me, that's why he bought it.

"Mom, pass me that bracelet," I told her and she gave me the bracelet.

I examined it, and it still looks the same as what I saw 9 years ago. 

"Here's the necklace" I looked at Mom and saw her with a nice elegant necklace.

I don't know what it's called but I can say, it's classy because of how minimalist it looks, it won't attract people.

The pendant wasn't that big, it's only the right size which won't attract robbers.

I smiled and nodded at Mom, to which she excitedly replied with a squeal and wore the necklace on my neck.

"Patima!" As I go down the car, Natalie quickly runs to my side with Sky, Autumn, Dylan, and Aiko.

"Yow, you look great," Aiko said, which made me smile widely.

Aiko is wearing a red dress that'll reveal her shoulders with a black belt on her waist and black heels.

"Thanks," I said but she just winks at me. Did I say that there are times when she'll flirt with me? Same with Sky. 

She's wearing a suit like a white dress because it has buttons with a ribbon on top of her head and white heels. 

She also has a metal belt on her waist.

"Let's go inside guys! And do you all have a partner?" Autumn said, and I saw Chase making his way in our direction.

Autumn’s wearing a black fitted dress with heels. Chase, on the other hand, is wearing a red suit with black pants and a black necktie.

"Hey girls, Hi Patima" Chase greeted me with a hug which I reciprocated.

Did I ever tell you that Chase is my cousin? I didn't? I might have forgotten to tell about him but yeah he is my cousin.

He broke the hug and walked towards Autumn, wrapping his arms around the girl.

"Wait, we need partners?" Aiko asks which Autumn nodded at.

"Good thing I have Natalie here," Dylan said as he smirked and put his arms around Natalie’s shoulder.

But instead of a smile, Natalie scoffs and pushes his arms away from her shoulder before storming off.

Natalie’s wearing a white dress that reaches almost to her ankle and white 2 inches heels.

Dylan is wearing a white tuxedo, with white pants and white leather shoes.

Overall, they are wearing white. I don't know if Dylan knew that Natalie’s wearing a white dress or if it's only a coincidence.

"Right, good thing Chris agreed with me" with what Sky said, Chris came wearing a normal tuxedo.

"Hello," he greeted and bowed his head. 

He is Christopher Cobbett or more known as Chris. He is the anonymous producer with his other friends.

They are making music which is known worldwide. Though they don't introduce themselves as their names, some knew that they are those producers.

Like me.

Because he is friends with Sky.

"Who doesn't have any partner? I can call up one of my friends" Chris said as he smiled at us.

Aiko and I look at each other before she looks away. 

"I'll take anyone available," Aiko said as Chris nodded and looked at me.

"How 'bout you Patima?" 

"Uhmm... I'll take-" before I finished speaking, I was interrupted by someone.

I looked at my back and saw MJ, who seemed to be looking for me as I just heard my name from his mouth.

As MJ turned around, his eyes locked with mine making him smile a little before walking in our direction.

He bows first at them.

"Hey, I came to your house and your father told me you aren't there, that's why I go here as soon as possible," he said.

I looked at him up and down first and saw that his suit was ruined, making me worry about him.

Maybe Father did something to him, poor MJ.

I quickly fix his ruined suit before smiling and nodding at him.

"Seems like you don't need anyone, Patima" I heard Chris say, making me nod my head.

"I can take MJ since I want to protect him from Yua, he's been bullied a lot," I said and looked at them. 

MJ is wearing a red suit paired with a black tie and black leather shoes. He is pretty attractive with his gentle look.

For other girls, of course.

MJ and I seem to have a matching outfit since I'm wearing a white dress paired with a red belt on my waist and white heels.

"Let's go party then!" Sky excitedly said as she jumped up and down.

What a party animal.

But we agreed nonetheless since we are all invited. As we went inside, we were amazed by what the interior of Yua’s house looked like.

"You came huh?"
