Chapter 4

Day 2

Patima walks out of their classroom with a smile on her face. Lunch already reaches them like Flash which causes the students to cheer loudly.

"Pat!" She looks at her back and saw Aiko. The small girl places her hands on Patima's arm then pats it.

"Hey, Ai, what's up?" Patima asks as she places her arms around Aiko's shoulder.

"Nothing, let's go to the cafeteria, they are waiting," she said. The two of them walk inside the cafeteria then look at the loudest table. They saw their friends at the long table, throwing some food at each other.

"HIYAH! MY YOGURT SMOOTHIE!" Sky yelled as her smoothie got thrown at Natalie. The bunny-liked girl hiss as she throws the cup on Dylan, who throws her the smoothie.

"I know I like you but this is too much!" She said then glare at the guy. Dylan didn't mind her as he stuck out his tongue. Autumn sighs then tap the table loudly that made them stop. Everyone froze on their spots as Aimi continue to eat.

"These kids, they never learn..." Autumn sighs before crossing her arms. Patima and Aiko finally came in their direction then sat down in front and beside Aimi.

"Hey, what happened?" Patima asks as she eyed her friends, who are now getting scolded by the big-eyed girl. Aimi put down her utensils then drink her water before placing her elbow on the table.

"Dylan being Dylan, he accidentally spills Natalie's drink on the bunny because he's getting his spoon that drops on the floor..." Rosé started.

"So of course, Natalie thought that Dylan did it on purpose so she grabs Sky's food then throws it at Dylan... Dylan did the same but with his food then grab Sky's yogurt smoothie and that's it, nothing new" Rosé said.

Aiko nods her head then gets lunch inside her bag. Patima looks at her then raises her eyebrows at what Patima did. The girl usually buys her food in school as she would always say that she can't cook.

"What's with some packed lunch?" Patima asks her. The small girl look at her then smiles before opening her lunch.

"Mom made this to me, she said she's sorry because she got busy for the last few months so she made this," she said with happiness.

Patima smiles at her then nodded her head.

'Aww... I wish my Mom is like that, she never really did something for me as she's scared because of Dad.'

Patima rolled her eyes internally as she mentions the word 'dad'.

'He doesn't even deserve to be called Dad, what a commanding man... he should just buy some robotic kids if he wanted everything to be perfect.'

Patima's about to stand up when someone places a tray in front of her. She looks at the tray and saw food in it. She looks up and saw Daisuke's smiling face.

"Baby, eat more ok? You look skinny" after that, he left her behind to go with his friends. Aimi and Aiko look at Daisuke with a glare. Autumn, who's scolding the three oldest stops then looks at the food.

"Patima, you can't eat that" she stated that made the girl look at her. Patima then looks at the food in confusion.

"Why? The food looks delicious" Patima said. Autumn shook her head before grabbing the tray away from Patima.

"Hey, sorry I'm late" they all look at MJ, who arrives with Amber. MJ sat down beside Patima, where the tray is currently located. He looks at the food then gulp. Patima is allergic to peanuts and this food has some in it.

"Who give bought this food?" MJ looks up and asks them.

The others look at her before rolling their eyes.

"It's Daisuke, he gave it to Patima" MJ looked at his side and saw that Patima is sulking. He quickly grabs his packed lunch before giving it to the girl. Patima looks at the packed lunch then at MJ.

"Hey, eat this, the food in the tray isn't healthy for you since it has some peanuts in it" Patima nods her head. She forms her mouth in a circle as she looks at Autumn. She smiles before bowing a little.

"Thanks, Autumn, I thought you don't want me to eat it since it is given by Daisuke," she said. Autumn shook her head then sat down on the chair, in front of Amber.

"I wouldn't do that, let's eat now, and you three? Go away from me, I need some rest" Autumn glares at the three that made them gulp. They quickly grab their stuff then walk away from the cafeteria as soon as possible. They don't want to see an angry Autumn as she is frightening than a ghost.

"So, what are we going to do later?" Patima asks as she sat down beside MJ. The older look at her then at the board where the teacher is currently teaching.

"I plan to go to the park and chill, I know you're stressed," MJ said then shrugged. Patima nods her head then looks at the teacher.

"By the way, my brother is here earlier..." Patima started. MJ looked at her then raised his eyebrows.

"Really? Then is he going back here in Japan?" MJ asks her. Patima smiles then shook her head before taking some notes.

"He said he already build his life in Texas, but he'll go back here maybe next year as he's still not safe because Dad is looking for him" MJ nods his head in understanding.

"Ahh, so he's at Texas right now? Then I guess he'll take you with him if he came back" Patima shrugged her shoulder.

"Don't know but I wish he would" Patima said that made MJ nod his head.

"Mr. Watanabe, Ms. Takahashi, are you two listening?" They snap their head at the teacher. MJ smiles then nod his head before bowing.

"We're just discuss something important but we are listening," he said. The teacher eyed the two suspiciously then nod her head before starting to teach again.

The bell rang, indicating that the class is already over. Everyone rushes out as quickly as possible to avoid being the cleaner of their room.

"Mr. Watanabe, Ms. Takahashi..." The two look at their teacher.

"Yes, Ms. Suzuki?" Patima asks her. The teacher looked around the room that made the two look around as well.

"Clean the room, ok?" She said then eyed them. MJ nods his head while Patima sighs quietly. The teacher nods her head before grabbing her bag then walking out.

"Ugh! Why do we need to clean the room!?" Patima asks annoyed as she looks around.

"It's already clean, why the hell do we need to!?" She exclaims. MJ shook his head before grabbing two brooms, then give Patima the other one.

"Hey, don't complain and clean, it'll be quick" they start to swipe the floor then arranging the chairs properly. Patima looks at the room then sighs in relief before grabbing her stuff.

"Let's go, I'll give you something" MJ grabs her wrist then drag her outside. The two of them walk towards the quiet hallway, heading towards the lockers. MJ stops in front of his locker then opens it while Patima leans her body on the locker beside MJ's.

MJ smiles before looking at Patima then get something inside his locker.

"Hey, I got you some daisies, I know you like them" MJ smiles then ignores his itchy neck. Patima looks at the flowers then smiles widely before picking them up.

"Thank you, they are beautiful" she started before holding the flowers like they were her baby. She looks at MJ and saw the guy's neck. She furrows her eyebrows then looks at MJ's eyes.

"Hey, what happened to your neck?" She asks him. MJ then rubs his neck to ease the itch then giggles nervously.

"It's nothing, it's because of the cold weather" Patima nods her head in understanding then looks at the daisies again.

"MJ, thank you, this makes me happy seeing-" her words got cut off when her phone starts to ring. She quickly gets her phone but rolled her eyes when she saw the caller. She looks at MJ as the guy is just looking at her then decided to answer the call.

"Yes, Dad?" she said then wait for the other line to speak. She furrows her eyebrows then looks at MJ, as the guy looks back at her in confusion.

"Can it wait, Dad? I need to come with Ja-" she cut herself off as she heard her father ranting.

"Yes, I'll go then" she quickly hangs up then look at MJ. The older look at her then tilt his head.

"Uhmm... This is quite sudden but Dad wants me home, right now," she said as the older nod his head.

"It's fine, let's go?" MJ fixes himself then stands up straight. Patima did the same thing before they walk out of the school.
