DIEGO

"What? But why? " Carla questioned me.

From her face expression, I could tell she didn't look pleased with my decision.

But I don't want her knowing the reason behind it. I want her to be safe with me.

"Just tell me you're joking, Diego. I don't miss school activities like that. It's just not me."

"I can understand you, Carla. But I've made my decision. You won't be going to school."

"Why? " She asked once again, making an attempt to pull her hands out of my hold, but I didn't allow her.

"If I tell her about Pedro, she might get uncomfortable and still prove stubborn with me. I'll think of something," I viewed, thinking of what to tell Carla, and just in the nick of time, the heavens blessed me with an idea.

"So? " Carla asked, lifting her brow at me.

With a curv to the lips, I said while loosing my grip on her gently, "I made that decision because we have a lot of work to attend to. And it's something I can't do by myself, since I won't be the only one having a new family membe
