I finally have Carla to myself.

She loves me just as much as I love her.

I never thought she'd give in one day and accept my love for her.

"Diego, can you hear me?" I heard, snapping out of my thoughts.

I lifted my gaze to see my father looking at me with confusion all over his face.

"Are you okay, son?" He asked.

I was at his office, sitting right opposite my old man. We were making preparation for the wedding which is closer than ever.

"Yeah, I'm okay."

"Are you sure? I've been calling out to you but you didn't answer back. You're sure you're okay? " He asked, sitting upright.

I hummed, nodding along, with my eyes dropping down at the list before me.

"I am, Father," I claimed. But trust me, I wasn't.

I stared at the guest list for the wedding, thinking about Carla and I.
