DIEGO

The moment I stepped right back into my car, I felt my heart go heavy.

That got me turning over to find Carla still staring at my vehicle, until I wasn't able to see her any more.

"I hope she likes the dress," I gave a light curve to the side, sitting properly.

RING! RING!!

I heard my phone ringing from my pocket. I got it out, just to see it was my secretary on the line.

"What does she want?" I groaned, answering the call.

"Talk to me."

"Mr Smith, I was calling to know where you are."

"Is there a problem?" My right brow levitated at her words.

"Well, not really, sir. I was just... You know, I was just concerned about you, and wanted to know if you're on your way to the office. As your secretary, it's my duty to check up on you."

"This is just nine in the morning and you're acting like I'm some five years old. Did I hire you to monitor my every movement?" I questioned her, getting irritated by her nonsense attitude.

"I'm sorry sir."

"You better be."
