Avita, being an early riser, awoke before Miguel the next morning. And she was all smiles as she looked fondly at the man who had truly loved her and made her feel entire again.

She shook her head regretfully and grudgingly as she checked the clock on the wall and proceeded to get ready for the day.

Despite the early hour, she took a quick warm shower before walking to the kitchen to make breakfast.

This habit had become deeply ingrained in her bones after living with Patrick, and now that Miguel had slept over at her house, she couldn’t help but want to do something for him.

Avita made a pot of chicken porridge and stir-fried some vegetables. She wasn’t sure if he wanted to take a prepared lunch from her house, so she cooked some extra food just in case.

Miguel awoke in surprise, especially after checking the time.

He awoke quickly, noticing how late it was and how the side of the bed was cold. He could tell Avita had gotten up early because of the empty area beside him.
