BLAIR’S POV

After hours of not saying a word to him or anyone else, I decided I didn't want to live this lie.

There was no denying how much I loved Brian, but there was also no denying how I'd never fit.

I would always be an outsider to him, and that was not a feeling I was willing to deal with, especially not after losing a baby because of his selfishness.

My request hit him like a blow to the breast of a nursing mother, as he could neither utter a word, nor move another step close to me.

There was a moment of thick, terrifying silence between us.

“Is everything okay, Blair?” He finally said, taking a few steps towards me.

“You tell me, Brian,” I said, turning around to face him.

“You shut me out and don't tell me anything,” I launched a rant, “it's not bad enough that I am trying to fit into your chaotic life, you poison me and send me into a literal period of lifelessness, just to shut me out and get me out of your way,” my tone gradually hitting the top.
