BRIAN’S POV I spent weeks in the craziest mission of trying to uncover Jane’s involvement in the theft and also clear my name. When Jennice sent in her brilliant plan, what she failed to mention was that it was going to take weeks and additionally, I was going to come to points that would require solitude. It was an air-tight plan, but also with high tendencies to go south, if a single thing went wrong. Everything had to be executed in perfection otherwise the moment I was discovered alive, I was going to be apprehended. Luckily, I had a few members of the police, who were now more family to me, and with Collins, Stacy and Jennice, we were able to figure it out, uncover the mystery. “When I learnt that our little miracle was forced out of you prematurely and your life was at stake, trust me, I wanted to show up immediately.” I tried to explain to Blair. “I couldn’t leave and return at will and as a matter of fact, I had to cut down on conversations. Hence the reason the calls se
BLAIR’S POV Seeing Jane behind bars had to be a dream come true, and what was crazier was that I didn’t think it was ever going to come true. Brian leading me there felt like a present being opened before the date of the reveal, maybe unwrapping Christmas gifts on Christmas eve. I had a hundred emotions surging through mt veins, but this time they were all positive emotions. This was the second-best thing to happen to me in a while, after the birth of my son, who I couldn’t wait to hold and kiss all over his face. Brian shared the story of how they had to lure her down to be arrested, posing to be buyers for the gold bars she was in possession of.Since it was Jane, they struggled to create a fake identity that actually sold, because she secretly ran background check on the client. Her fury was evident, as she did not expect to be played by Brian or anyone else. With Jane finally behind bars and with a date where she faces the law, I couldn’t be mad at Brian for not involving me
BLAIR’S POV Ashley saw Sebastine off to the airport and he gave her his vehicle, which she returned with. She could not stop talking about receiving a car from Sebastine as the first gift, less than twenty-four hours after their relationship started. Neither I, nor Ashley, could wipe the smiles off our faces, when we realized that Sebastine had shopped other gifts and had left them at the trunk of the car, There was a life-size teddy bear and a heart decorated seat cover, with a big heart at the top. “Each time you seat, remember that you buried this deeply in my heart.” A note accompanied the seat cover. Seeing Ashley happy was all that mattered to me and knowing that Sebastine was a sweet, gentleman, made it even more beautiful and comforting. Ashley spent the next two days raving about Sebastine and the other hours she was not talking about him, she was talking to him and their relationship, although long-distanced was catching on quite well and more quickly than I expected.
BLAIR’S POV At the court hearing, it wasn’t a long case for evidences to be established against her, in respect to stealing from the Queen and other situations. However, we had tendered on serious issue- the ownership of the company. Jane argued again and again that the company was handed to her. My father could barely talk, and since we didn’t want to stress him, he responded to none of the questions. “Your honor, I do not understand why Miss. Williams sounds like she finds my client unfit to run a company she worked hard for, a company she built.” Jane’s lawyer. “Liar!” I yelled. Jane had gotten the company’s recognition. “She manipulated him.” I yelled. “This is a law court, please maintain decorum, Miss. Williams,” the judge said. I apologized over and over again. “Miss. Williams, do you have any prove of manipulation?” the judge asked me. I handed my lawyer my father’s dairy and the judge chuckled. I could see him struggling to avoid laughing me to scorn. I was filled wit
BLAIR’S POV After that conversation with my father, I decided that he was right. Jane was probably not worth the fuss anyway. I wasn’t going to bother myself with whether or not she owned the company, I was going to start being more responsible for my life and decided to see the good around me, starting today. I was beaming with excitement and could not bring myself to remain calm. Today, three weeks after he left my body, I could finally hold my son. I was excitedly jumping and beaming from ear to ear and now that the wait for over, it just left even longer. “Hey,” Brian had been trying to pacify me, all morning, but I was like an ocean and could not be contained. I bought big blue balloons and stared at them the entire drive to the hospital.Ashley remained at home with my father, while Brian and I went to the hospital. There was an entire home-coming waiting for me and I just couldn’t wait for him to be able to recognize those he could regard as family. As soon as he was han
BLAIR’S POVOur wedding plans was fast tracked and now that it was a few days away, I looked back to realize that everything had taken us less than six weeks, including waiting for Regal to be fit to travel. Our flight was leaving the next morning and the most exciting part of getting married to the love of my life, was that my father was going to be the one to walk me down the aisle, like he should have been in the last two times I tried to get married. His presence and how strong he had grown over the last six weeks, was more than enough realization for me. Everything felt right and perfect. Our destination was a surprise to Ashley and the destination wedding was for a selected few. It was going to have in attendance, Stacy, Collins, Ronald and Sebastine, and of course, my father and Ashley. It was a discrete ceremony and I stared out the window all day, anticipating our flight which was taking off at 4pm. “How do you think she would react?” I asked Brian. “I don’t know.” He
BLAIR’S POVThe ceremony took place as it should have, but I noticed Stacy and Collins were very detached. Not only were they not blending well with the crowd, they barely spoke to each other. Every other person was having the time of their lives, so much that they did not take note of the couple, however, it wasn’t a good ceremony for me, if I wasn’t getting everyone’s energy. I was more surprised to see that Brian didn’t care at all. Stacy was the life of the party and I assumed that if no one else would have found it weird, Brian would. On the other hand, Brian hadn’t taken his eyes off me for a single minute, since we were gathered at the dinner table for the wedding, so, maybe it was too much of me to be expecting him to notice. Everyone was so excited to hear us take our vows and right after, we had dinner with family. Everyone else was out here being chatting. Ashley specifically was having the time of her life. She finally got to spend time with Sebastine, since their rel
BLAIR’S POV I immediately ditched the idea of running off to bed and pulled through the activities of the night, with a very distracted mind. Stacy, on the other hand, retired to bed, almost immediately after we returned to join the men. As I predicted, Ashley was dead drunk and my father had to get some rest, after taking his medications. I was the only one who hung around and at almost 3am, I saw that they were unwilling to get rest, so I gave up on the wait. I retired to bed and tried to get some good sleep. Luckily, our activity for the next day was beginning at 9am. “Rise and shine!” Brian announced excitedly, pulling the window blinds open and allowing the sun directly into my eyes. ‘Well, that was definitely the shortest five hours of my life.’ I thought, as my slowly opening eyes, caught the digital clock at the bed side, revealing 8am. “Common, we can’t be late for our wedding gig,” Brian said, “Get up and prepare.” He passionately pulled me out of bed and planted a k
