CHAPTER 26

“Stop it, Diana!”

Diana was startled by what Jorge said.

He looked at her sharply. “Stop staring at me as if you're asking me to fuck you! I thought you didn’t want to… then why are you looking at me like that? I might not be able to hold back and end up taking you again!”

Embarrassed, Diana looked down. “U-hm, you’re mistaken. I was just thinking about something…”

“What are you thinking about?” he asked her.

“A-hm, nothing…”

“Answer me! What are you thinking about?” he demanded, his voice rising. It seemed like Jorge was angry again. She didn’t want him to get angry, afraid of what he might do to her.

“I-I’m thinking about where you went after college and why I never saw you again…” she lied.

Jorge’s face suddenly became serious, and he stared at her before responding. “I went to America. My family is there. I didn’t say goodbye to you. I knew you didn’t care about me back then; in fact, you were probably glad I disappeared, weren’t you?” he shouted angrily.

Diana couldn’t respond.
