"Well what do we have here?"
"What?, you found something?"
"As a matter of fact, I did"
"Is it the key?"
"No key yet, but something important also". It was a photo album. Pictures of Aiden and Josie and some including Sophie and some other people.
"I've seen this man somewhere. His body looks quite familiar, and that cold smile...I've seen it somewhere before"
"Really?, where?"
"I can't really remember. Ohh....he was the one at the hospital"
"The hospital?"
"Yes. When Chris and I went to see the doctor concerning Alexa, he was in the office with him."
"Did you hear what they were talking about?"
"No, but we could ask the doctor"
"Okay. Let's look around for a while if we can find anything else"

Alexa's POV"Alexa dear, how are you feeling?""I'm fine mom" I smiled weakly, but I was still wondering why officer gale was with me when I woke up. He looked so concerned about me that one could think that he was related to me. What I saw couldn't be real, could it?"Lexi!!" Chris squeaked happily as he walked in with a girl."Hey Chris" the only person that didn't say anything was Dave, he just stood there, looking at me like he was about to cry. "Don't you have anything to say to me?" I asked, raising my brow."You have no idea how happy I am right now. THE PLAYGROUND CHAPTER SIXTEEN
Alexa's POVIt was a new week, Chris had gone back to school, dad applied for a job at an oil company, Dave was also on the lookout for a job and their mom spent most of her time at the hospital with me.Several bodies have been turning up all over town, so far there have been ten cases, minus the ones that happened before. Some of the bodies were mutilated while the others were just dead, the cause of death was still unknown. The police department were still on the search for Josie and her minions but its like they were ghosts. No one has seen any of them anywhere and it was getting a little frustrating."Mom, do you think they'll ever find Josie?""Of course honey. It just might take a while""Its taking too long. THE PLAYGROUND CHAPTER SEVENTEEN
Gale's POVI sat in my chair, smiling to myself still replaying the scene of what happened earlier this morning. On my way to work, I stopped by the hospital to see Lexi and when I was leaving, she gifted me with the best kiss that I'd ever had. It was even better than the one we shared three nights ago.My Lexi was getting better by day, looking even healthier than before. The doctor said she should be able to go home soon and that's good news. I couldn't wait for her to leave the hospital, she'd been cooped up in that room for too long. Walking outside and feeling the sun on her skin could be good for her."May I come in?" Dave said and I almost fell out of my chair. Things have been a little awkward between us since Lexi and I started dating, especially because he doesn't know about it."Oh..I didn't see you there. Come in" I said as I sat up straight.
THE PLAYGROUND CHAPTER ONE.
The fresh air coming from the slightly opened window soothed Alexa Hathaway as she laid gently on her bed.It was another Saturday and Alexa loved Saturdays. She'd say that it was specially created for her to explore the whole of New York, rather than being stuck with their maid Josie, not that she was a bad person. She was a really sweet woman, really sweet but also really boring.That day was no different, she'd tour most places she never had the chance to surf her whole seventeen years. The only thing that bothered her was the old woman that was following her. She remembered when she stopped for ice cream, the woman was there. When she stopped to see her favourite baker, Mr Sloan, the woman was there again. That was when Alexa was certain that the woman was stalking her and it was kinda creepy.
THE PLAYGROUND CHAPTER TWO.
Alexa woke up feeling as confused as ever. She didn't understand what the old woman meant because as far as she knew, she was powerless or as the cheerleaders at school would say completely ordinary and useless, so she didn't understand how she could be powerful. Alexa was still trying to think but was interrupted by a knock on her door."Alexa, come downstairs. Mom and dad wants to talk to us".Chris said from behind the door.Alexa climbed out of her bed and went to open the door."What do they want to talk about?"she asked.Chris shrugged his shoulders and said "How should I know?""Kay,I'll be down in a minute."She took a quick shower and picked out a pair of jeans with a blue shirt with flats and went downstairs. The stranger was your typical bad boy. He looked really cool in his all black outfit and black sneakers, like a dark angel. It has been three weeks now and Alexa's dad hasn't been found. Her mom was in the hospital cause she tried to kill herself. when David asked their mom why she did that, she said she didn't remember. That she remembered going upstairs to her room to rest for a while and the next thing she knew, she was in the hospital. The cops were also looking for Josie, but it was like she vanished from the surface of the earth. Alexa was sure that Josie had something to do with Jenny's death cause the cross that was on her door was exactly the same with the one Josie gave to her.Aiden and Alexa became very close, Aiden was there whenever Alexa needed a shoulder to cry on, which was often because she'd been crying a lot lately.Chris stopped coming home, he said bad things have been happening since Aiden entered their home. Its been a week since they found out that Alexa was in coma and she might not wake up. Their dad was discharged two days ago and since then he had been focused on making their mom happy. Chris and Dave were in charge of answering the cops whenever they needed their attention. Recently, a woman was arrested for trying to break into their old house. When she was being questioned, she said Josie asked her to do it. "She said she left something that belonged to her in the house and it was really important to her." "What thing are we talking about here?""She wouldn't tell me. The woman looked at her with pity "so be it" and before she could do anything, she felt a sharp pain in her chest then she saw a dagger stained with blood in the woman's hand. She looked down at her chest and tried to stop the bleeding with her hands. Dave and Chris screamed and hurried to her, she tried to go to them also but she fell to the ground. As she laid there, a lot of things crossed her mind. She didn't want to die now, there was still so much she hadn't done. They still hadn't found their dad yet and what about their mom?, she lost Jenny, was she gonna loose her too?. She opened her mouth to say something but all that came out was blood. She had turn pale and cold and she felt like her life was slowly slipping away from her. She heard someone calling out to her, she looked up and saw the most beautiful v
THE PLAYGROUND CHAPTER TEN.
Chris brought out his phone and was about to dial the number when Aiden roughly shoved Alexa and ran out of the room. Chris ran after him but he was too fast, he got out of the house before he could get to him. Dave glanced over at Alexa and he felt bad for his little sister. She looked so heartbroken, he had no idea what Aiden could've done to hurt her that much and honestly he didn't really care. The fact that he even hurt her at all was enough to make him hate him.Chris came back up and told them he had called the cops and they would get there in a couple of minutes. About ten minutes later, they heard a knock on the door and when Chris opened it, it was officer gale and he looked like he had bad news. "Can I come in?""Of course. Is everything ok?"
THE PLAYGROUND CHAPTER NINE.
After they left the station, they went to the hospital to check on their mom and what happened next was like a miracle. They went to her ward and talked to her like they usually do, and after a while they went home but they had barely gotten home when the doctor called them that their mom had woken up. Alexa was overjoyed, she was smiling so sweetly, the smile that Chris had missed so much. They wanted to go back to the hospital but the doctor said they should wait till the next day because she needed to rest.After they had dinner that night, they tried calling Aiden but his number was switched off. That would be the tenth time they'd be trying his number. Dave said not to bother him, that they would call him in the morning.
