CHAPTER THREE.

   The stranger was your typical bad boy. He looked really cool in his all black outfit and black sneakers, like a dark angel. He was blonde, just like her and he had blue eyes that really sparkled when he smiled.

"Guys, this is Aiden white, he is my friend from school and he is going to be staying with us till we go back to school....if that's okay with you" Jenny said, smiling.

"Of course it's okay with us, Aiden, welcome to our home" her mother said.

Aiden smiled and looked at Alexa and she introduced herself and the guys.

"Nice to meet you Alexa" Aiden said as he extended his hand. She did the same and they shook hands. Then he left and was talking with the guys. 

The party was great, Jenny loved it and she even got a present from Josie. A silver necklace with a cross pendent. It was really pretty and Alexa was even a little jealous because Josie had never given her anything that beautiful. The only thing that made Alexa a little uncomfortable was Aiden, cause he kept staring at her. After the party was over, Jenny was exhausted, so she went to bed. Their parents had left earlier cause they were leaving first thing in the morning, so it was just Alexa, her brothers and Aiden.

Alexa wasn't feeling sleepy, so she decided to tidy up the living room and Aiden offered to help her.

"So, you're Alexa, jenny has told me so much about you"Aiden said, as they were organizing.

"Really,that's nice."

"I feel like you don't want to talk to me Alexa, why?, its like you just took one look at me and decided you don't like me, or like I'm not good enough to be your friend or something."

"That's not true, I never said I didn't want to talk to you....okay ,what do you want to talk about?."

Aiden smiled and said "Anything, you pick".

"Okay, then tell me about yourself".

Aiden told Alexa about himself and he seemed pretty cool. Before he got into college, he lived with his mother here in new York. He was the only child and his father had died when he was younger. He wasn't much into sports but he liked to watch them, kinda like her. They discussed other things as well. He told her about how college life was, how people looked down on him because his family wasn't rich. He said jenny was the only one who treated him nicely despite his background, she really felt bad for him. I mean, some people can be jerks. Just because someone doesn't have wealthy parents doesn't mean they couldn't be wealthy in future. They talked for so long and didn't even realize that it was almost midnight until David walked in so they said goodnight and went to bed.

  Their parents left early in the morning, and as usual David and Chris had also disappeared. Jenny was still in bed, so that left Aiden and Alexa. They talked for a while, then Alexa got up and went to prepare breakfast. When she was done, she went upstairs to get Jenny but when she got to her door, she saw a sign on the door that definitely wasn't there before. A cross, just like the one Josie gave Jenny. She tried to open the door but it was locked, she called Jenny but no one answered and it made her really worried so she went down to get Aiden. 

He kicked the door a few times before it finally opened but it was too late. Jenny's lifeless body was on the floor covered in blood, her arms and legs were gone and her neck was broken. Alexa screamed so loud that Aiden thought he would go deaf.

"Alexa, calm down, let's go call the cops"

"No....no....why?....who did this?....no jenny." Alexa fell to her knees and cried uncontrollably.

"Alexa come on, don't worry, we're gonna find the bastard that did this, I promise you that."

Alexa just kept crying and Aiden called David and Chris and told them what happened. Josie was nowhere to be found, Alexa didn't know when she left but her room was empty.

When the cops arrived, Aiden told them what happened, Alexa was still crying and David and Chris were trying to calm her down. David had already called their parents and they said they would be back the next day.

That night, Alexa couldn't sleep and she didn't want to be alone so she went to Aiden's room and asked if she could stay with him.

"Of course. Look, I'm really sorry about what happened to jenny."

"Thanks."

She laid down beside him and after about ten minutes, she fell asleep but she had a nightmare.

"Hey...hey...calm down, its just a dream, relax"He said and held Alexa close to him. He kissed her forehead and he kept calming her down but she didn't sleep again till the next morning.

When their parents got back, their mother's eyes were red, obviously from crying but their father just looked angry.

"What happened exactly?"he asked, his tone serious.

As David explained everything to him, Alexa saw the expression on his face change. From anger to sorrow, his eyes were watery and he looked like he was about to cry. When David was done, he didn't say anything, his expression had changed again, but this time it was unreadable and he just got up and left. He went out the door, got into his car and drove off. Their mother started crying again and they were trying to calm her down, including Aiden.

"It's okay mom, maybe he just needed some fresh air."David said but it was obvious from the look on his face that he was worried.

"Yeah, he's going to be back soon." Chris added.

"Let's go upstairs, you need to rest."Alexa said and took their mom upstairs where she stayed for the rest of the day.
