BUT I DON'T FEEL BETTER

ARIANA’S POV~

“I don't know why you have come to ruin my peace but I'm moving the wedding up to this Saturday, im not going to waste anymore time” Silvio announced, I turned sharply to look at him, “What!, why? That’s too soon” my eyes widened at the sudden change of plans. 

“im not feeling better yet, you said I need to recover first” I quickly added, I turned to Serena, earlier she had wanted to pass a message to me but she never got around to it, my father spotted her immediately.

“Not anymore, I can smell a rat and I don't like not knowing, this Saturday we are getting married” he turned to his mother who was coming out of the mansion, his mother had been wondering why he suddenly harboured this ill feeling towards her.

“Mother, make it happen, this Saturday,” he said, his mother Liana was confused.

“I thought we were waiting until she’s better, she’s been through a lot, the poor thing can barely stand” she replied, walking towards me to help me stabilise my wobbly feet.

“I don't care if she has to use crutches! It's happening this Saturday” he retorted, i gasped in horror, “Silvio! How can you say that? What’s wrong with you?” she asked looking at her son in disbelief.

He instantly changed his facial expression to regret and moved towards me, “im sorry my love, I didn't mean that” he said taking my hand.

I quickly pulled away but he caught my hand and pulled me closer, then he stabilised my gait, “I'll do better, I promise, I'll give you the world” he promised, but I didn't care, I needed to know why suddenly he had to change his plan? What exactly is Silvio afraid of? Or rather who? Since we got back he had doubled security, he was always on edge and lashing out, his touch irritated me and I would always wish for a quick death than be in his presence.

“I do not want to be with you,” I said softly, “im already married and you killed my husband just to steal me” I paused and shook my head, 

“I'll never be yours!” as the words left my mouth they were welcomed with a slap across my face, I fell immediately to the ground, Serena gasped in horror, and his mother lowered herself to help me up.

 “what is going on with you? When did you start hitting women!” his mother exclaimed, his face covered with fury he turned to his mother, “This Saturday! Get it done!” he thundered, shaking his mother to the core.

We watched him walk back into the mansion, “Ariana are you okay?” Liana asked, balancing my foot on the ground, “yeah” I said under my breath, 

“im sorry you had to go through that, I don't know what is wrong with Silvio, and you!” she exclaimed turning to my father who stood there grinning.

“You watched him hit your daughter, you didn't even try to defend her? What kind of father are you?” she asked.

 “you would do well to remember your place liana, she now belongs to Silvio and he will discipline her wild tongue however he seems fit, i have unfinished business here with another bad egg from my loins” he replied gesturing to the guards, they grabbed Serena and dragged her kicking and screaming inside the mansion. 

“Wait before you go, Serena….”  I started, and the guards stopped, but the look she gave me was a clear warning, I silenced myself and put my head down, “im sorry it had to come to this” I said in a low tone.

My father looked at me suspiciously and hesitated for a while before gesturing to the guards to continue their journey to the mansion.

“Come on dear, let me take you back to your room, you have yet to recover, and now you must add Silvio's violence to it, I don't know what’s gotten over him, this obsessive hate for Mateo has been going on since forever,” liana said giving me her arm to lead me into the mansion.

 we passed the guest who wasn't even bothered to know what was happening, I saw Silvio greeting the guests as he walked his way through the crowd, he threw me a kiss when he saw me walking up the stairs,  everyone had the perfect host so how can everything not be okay?

He started walking towards me, soon he was on the stairs with me, he took my hand and kissed the back of it, “that will never happen again” he pleaded kissing my hand again, that was when I caught sight of a shiny key, the key to my room 

I smiled hearity which confused him instantly, “You are my husband to be, im yours to do as you want, i think you made that pretty clear,” I said, he looked at me intently, he was about to say a word when I quickly interjected.

“Maybe a quick hug, so we can keep up with the pretences in front of these nice people” I offered. Liana threw me a confused glance.

 relax mama I know exactly what im doing.

“Of course,” he replied happily, “im glad you are coming around” he smiled pulling me in for a hug but surprised me halfway with a kiss, in front of his mother he devoured my mouth until I was breathless, i struggled for a while before he released me.

“Good night princess” he smiled, kissing my cheek, I smiled back and continued my journey to my room, liana made me comfortable and bid me good night.

I waited a few minutes before springing up again, I changed into casual clothes and tried to disguise myself, I knew my father would have her locked up somewhere in the rooms in the east wing, so I set to work.

I unlocked my door with the key i stole earlier from silvio and peered out slowly to see if anyone was coming, but no one in the hallway was free, so I closed the door gently behind me and started for the east wing.

There were about ten or more doors in front of me and one of them had Serena, I knocked on the first one, no answer, second, third, fourth to eighth, no response.

“Who is there?” I heard someone call, I glanced back, the voice was coming from the fourth room.

“Serena? Is that you? Are you okay” I called out again knocking on her door, and she knocked back.

“Oh my god Serena, why would you come back here? You know Silvio would have you killed and Father wouldn't care” I exclaimed.

“Look, I came here with a message,” she started, “what message?”

“Your husband is alive, he has a message for you,” she said with a long pause, my heart started racing, and I couldn't believe my ears, mateo survived? How?

“He says im coming for you”
