Forty five minutes into the meal, everyone was done eating but couldn't leave until Jan announced that he was done. This announcement saw the people on the second dining table exit the dining room excited because now they were free to do whatever they like for the evening as long as it was done within the confines of the villa.

"Everyone on this table should stay back except for the ladies. There are important matters we need to discuss before I make my announcement." Jan said, the moment Derrick got up from his seat. The young man quietly resettled in and waited with his eyes fixed on the plates in front of him.  The ladies got up and headed for the exit while Jan rang the tiny bell and the servers came in and started clearing the table. Nobody said a thing until every plate was gone but once the last server exited the room, Jan cut to the chase.

" What do you think about getting married to Jeniffer Derrick?"

By the time Rolph got back inside, Jolanta was at their seat with a tray of homemade sweets she got from the kitchen. Rolph told her it was time to leave and she went with the sweet tray despite the pleas from Rolph's half sisters who were quite close to the girls. Rolph was planning to have a talk with Derrick but when they got home, Derrick was nowhere to be seen. Rolph guessed that he had left for the mountains and called it a night, ignoring his father's multiple phone calls because he wasn't going to say anything to the man before talking to Derrick. The next morning, Rolph left for the mountains very early and by the time he got to their training ground, Derrick had already worked up a lot of sweat alongside Ben and Delvin."Good morning boss." They chorused as he entered the fenced off, very big, sparing space allocated to Rolph. "Excuse us." Rolph said to no one in particular but Delvin and Ben knew to leave immediately while Derri

After the auction, Ben spent the night satisfying his new master but it was not the same. He felt nothing. He had to depend on drugs to get an erection. Not just that. When his new master chained him up and beat him, he felt pain. Lots of pain but no pleasure. He didn't understand. Rolph had done worse things to him and he liked and enjoyed them. Since Rolph was his first and only partner, he had always gone through pain to please Rolph. He had no idea what sex without chains felt or look like. He only saw them on TV. He had never experienced them. He could take a lot of pain. Pain gave him immeasurable pleasure until that night. All he sensed was pain. He felt violated, dirty, guilty, disgusting, useless, lost. For the first time in his life, Ben thought of taking his life. Not because he was tired of life but because he felt he was no longer worthy of his real master. And while despairing over his bad luck, he accidentally overdosed. When next he opened his eyes, he

After Rolph left Jolanta standing at his training ground, he gave a series of instructions to Derrick, then went into his apartment and stayed there for the whole day. The first thing Derrick did was to activate a four men cell of the elite team called Shadows. This team was responsible for underground gigs that Rolph undertook outside the Demonic circle. They engaged in missions such as assasination, espionage, kidnapping, bodyguard gigs and related crimes. Sometimes they work as a team, sometimes they split into two and when the situation warranted it, they worked as individuals. But this time around, the whole team was splitting into two on the same mission. Team A was to locate some core members of Rolph's personal army and deactivate them permanently. Derrick was shocked when Rolph gave this order and Shadow was more shocked when they received it. Rolph had asked them to kill more than 80% of his personal army. That was more than a thousand mix of criminals,

At 5ft, 1 inche, José was a very short man with a round belly that looked like he had a calabash attached to his stomach and a flat butt that looked like the cheeks were sliced off. Making it seem like his butt cheeks were sucked into his thighs. His Hispanic face was as round as his stomach with his cheeks leveling up with every part of his face to form what looked like a ball with facial features drawn on it. His eyes socket looked so tiny and his eyeballs so small that his friends joked that if he could only lose his baby fats, so they could really see his egg whites. Because of his looks, José was someone you would notice immediately but also forget the moment he is out of sight. Having been at the receiving end of much bullying and rejection, José decided to drop out of school at age 17 to join his cousin; Mateo, who lived at Puerto Nuevo, a small lobster village close to the border. Leaving his father, two brothers and sick mother behind. Hav

After traveling for about 30 minutes, José became apprehensive. First Mateo had not called back and when he tried to call, he discovered that they were out of service range. If he had known that they were entering a no network territory, he would have left markers at every turn. But now after making up to 6 turns, he was finding out that Mateo might never be able to find them. He was crossed between going back and keeping the jeep in sight. He really didn't want to go against organ traffickers on his own. He had slowed down and just kept at a speed that made sure he could see their tail lights while driving blind. Just when his fear got the better of him and he was about to make a U-turn, the Jeep seemed to stop moving and its lights went off.  José also stopped and got out of his car. He opened his booth and started searching for something. Only if he had a gun. But he had never needed one until now. For a drug dealer, he was quite pathetic. But then he was

Everything was going just fine until someone suddenly jumped on ICE out of the dark and stabbed him with a spike. HD had managed to carry Ice and Ben to the cave then went back for the crazy dude whom he had knocked out. He then opened the den and took them in, one after the other. After restraining Ben, he had to find a way to stop Ice's bleeding internal wound and stabilize him, so he took some time before coming out to get the crazy attacker. HD was scared and angry at the same time. First Ice, who was supposed to watch their back was drunk and high which was why he was careless and got jumped in the middle of nowhere. Now he wasn't sure if the crazy guy had followed them from town or he was just some homeless person who was probably living in the cave, got spooked by their presence and decided to attack them. Secondly, Ice's wound was deep and probably lethal since that spike was practically buried in his body. HD couldn't call anybody for help because they were not su

Through the glass door, they were able to see a long, wide room that ended with a curtain of translucent nylons. The line of nylon cut across the room and it was clearly hiding something or another space from their immediate view. Just like the corridor they passed through, the wide space only had stretchers lined up against the wall on both sides. Lobo poked HD who had paused after opening the glass door with his gun. "Move!"HD heaved and stepped into the well lit room. His eyes became more gloomy. If only he didn't disarm the security features of the building. Right now, these stupid men would have become his preys. The empty room was a trap room that would have opened up under their feet and swallow them up if it was still functional but HD had accessed its control and disabled it on his phone on arrival. With HD in the lead, they moved into the room and the glass door closed with a click. The sound of this click seemed to ha

Mateo was the first to step in, followed by the hiker. On the panel by the right hand side of the elevator door, there were no numbers. Just two red arrows going in opposite directions. The one facing up was blinking a crimson red color while the one facing downward was dead. The door slid close and immediately, the arrow facing downward started blinking red while the one facing up, went dead. Without them touching anything, the elevator started moving the moment the door locked up. It was first a slow descent but just after 2 seconds, the elevator cabin simply dropped! Making Mateo and the hiker yep like a startled dog. The two occupants quickly grabbed at the smooth wall. If not that the space was already cramped for the two of them, they might have ended up on the floor but there was nowhere to fall to, but on themselves. They looked at each other with fear in their eyes because the cabin just kept going. The further it dropped, the higher their

All Boris could do was try to clear up the mess he left behind. Just after Texas City, close to his now abandoned home, an unknown object flew out of nowhere and hit Rolph by the side, sending him flying at high speed while the delivery bike also

After Derrick left in the chopper, Jan's men hurriedly hid what they could before the army came in to investigate. By the time the military left, Rolph's safety net had run out and it had already appeared on the darknet that he was no longer under the protection of Czarna Pantera. In the wee hours of the morning, as Jan was Preparing to meet with the family's PR team to plan the press conference where they will announce that Rolph was no longer the future heir of the family, Adam's call came in. His voice boomed with anger and resentment. He demanded to know the reason for the darknet announcement. But after Jan's timid explanation, all Adam said was …"Make sure my son-in-law is back at the ranch unharmed by the time I arrive at midnight." He then disconnected the call. Leaving Jan disoriented, frustrated and even more angry. Jan was caught between the cliff and the valley. Jan called Boris."Where is Rolph ?"

When Jan got to the desert, he met total chaos.  Dead bodies littered the ground and half of the den was a heap of blocks and dust. His men had Nikkie's surrounded. Two of Nikkie's men were holding up the still unconscious Derrick in-between themselves, while the rest guarded them with weapons drawn. The two teams were having a standoff waiting for who would fire first but this was only possible because Jan had called his men earlier and told them to cease fire. Jan gallantly strolled to stand beside Boris who was leading his men. He took his time to look Nikkie's men over and imprint their faces in his heart before smirking in a derisive way. " So you all are Jakub's men living right under my nose." He nodded his head in acceptance of the fact in front of him. Jan was brimming with anger and the restraints he placed on himself knowing that Jakub could blow up his ranch was evident in his voice and body language. He was trembling and had his p

As Rolph made his way to the nearest safehouse on his way out of Texas State, Every security personnel affiliated to Nikkie but working for Jan were simultaneously packing up. They have always been ready for this day for years. They were Jakub's ears and eyes on the ranch but their main duty was to watch out for Rolph. Now that Rolph was leaving and Jakub had no interest whatsoever in the family's black market businesses, there was no reason for them to stay. Whatever monitoring needed would from thenceforth be done from underground. They were given two assignments. First was to rescue Derrick and the second was to bring Rolph to New-York. When Jan left the office, he made his way to his Villa in a very dark mood. All he ever wanted was to reinstate his family back in Poland as his father made him promise before his death. And he could only do that by having a male heir who will carry on the name of the family. But somehow, the universe decided to make a joke of him by giving him two boys and giving those two boys nothing but girls. When he had discovered Rolph's existence, it was a miracle to him because he had already given up hope. Now after years of grooming the boy with everything he had, he was faced with turning the boy into a prey for his enemies to hunt down. If only Rolph didn't take after his soft hearted, peace loving father, right now, Rolph wouldn't be running for his life but they would be celebrating the elimination of a threat. Now his only hope was to find a middle ground with Adam. If not, after the Roberts were done with him, Adam would finish him and his family off for what Jennifer did to Jolan

By the time Rolph stepped into Jan's office, he found Jan standing by a window with a freshly lit cigar in his mouth. Rolph humbly walked over to Jan's desk and stood there with his head bowed, waiting for further instructions. "Sit down." Jan muttered. In fact, if Rolph's five senses, except for his down-turned eyes, weren't focused on Jan, he probably wouldn't have heard the order. It was as if Jan wasn't talking to him. This made him wonder if there were more troubling things to come. Whatever it was that had Jan so distracted could only be resolved by Jan. Even his own present issues were out of his hands. Rolph took one of the seats and waited. He didn't have to wait for long because Jan puffed a fog of smoke then returned to his seat where he opened his laptop and turned it to face Rolph. On the screen was an open letter from the leader of Robert's family. "They have contacted you?!" Rolph gasped."Read it." Jan replied.Rolph heaved and started reading. The first thing

The moment they stepped into the room, two men already on standby grabbed Derrick and dragged him to a set of heavy iron chains hanging down from the ceiling, just like the one Rolph had in his underground torture room back in Texas. Since Derrick was declared as Rolph's property, Rolph had stopped receiving his punishments. Derrick was the one receiving them in his stead. So when he was grabbed, Derrick and Rolph were not surprised and Derrick didn't put up a fight. Rolph rolled his eyes and faced Jan who had settled in his seat, smoking his cigar as he watched his men chain Derrick up. "How is what Jolanta does with Jennifer any of my business? I don't know where they are. Why are you putting this on me?" Rolph demanded with a straight face. Jan chuckled silently and glanced at Rolph before crushing out his cigar on an ashtray on the table beside his chair. "You have really overestimated yourself.
