Chapter 66: Blessings

Charlotte’s pov

“If that is what you are saying then I think we should stay. Or we will never solve this mystery” Alexa said.

“Well, I have been thinking about it for some time” I said, and she looked at me.

“Ryder died after 3 years of meeting Reene.

So I am going to assume that the timeline is somewhere between 2 and 3 years.

Then Logan will die if I stay with him” I explained to her.

Someone out there really doesn’t want me to live happily ever after.

“So, we have that amount of time to figure out this mystery and end the curse?” she asked me, and I nodded.

“If we don’t figure it out by the end of this years we will leave and disappear.

Are you okay with the plan?” I asked Alexa who nodded.

“Yes, I am perfectly fine with it. For now, let’s wait for the seer and see what they have to say” she said, and I nodded.

“That’s all we can do, until Sasha makes her move there is nothing else that can be done” I said.

We went down for breakfast, and everyone was already there.

“Actually, Justice and I have an announcement to make” Sasha said with a huge grin.

I looked at Logan, he didn’t believe me when I told him that one of these two these two will team up.

Justice wants to be the Alpha King desperately and Sasha is just as desperate as him to be the Queen Luna.

I don’t need to be seer to see this one coming, I winked at Logan because he didn’t believe it.

Even though Sasha used her own father for her foolish reasons he didn’t think that Sasha would marry his brother.

I mean both of them haven’t found their mates, so he thought they were still holding out hope.

Usually, unmated wolves wait for their mate and don’t usually give up easily.

“We have decided that since we both don’t have mates then its better that we become chosen mates” Sasha said.

“Wow that sounds really romantic, it didn’t sound like a business deal or anything” Alexa said with a scoff.

This earned her a glare from Sasha.

“really sister, did you even try to find your mate, or did you already have this little idea from the very beginning?” Dean asked his sister.

“I wouldn’t be surprised; my sister-in-law doesn’t do anything unless she gains from it” May who is Dean’s mate said.

She arrived last night, we met briefly but now looking at her I could tell that she also doesn’t like Sasha.

“What is wrong with everyone? All we are asking for is your blessings” Justice said with a frown.

“Brother you have never blessed anyone so why should we bless you?

When Dean mated with May you said shit about them because May was a rouge she wolf” Logan said.

“And when I came here you were actually a dickhead because I am human.

If you want blessings then you should really try blessing others as well” I said making him glare at me.

“Clara, wont you congratulate us? We are going to mate” Sasha said with a smirk.

I don’t like that smirk, but I love how Clara seemed unfazed by all this as she got up.

“Congratulations, you two really deserve each other” she said with a smile.

It completely wiped off the smile off Sasha’s face.

But I also saw something else, there was anger in Justice’s face.

It was as if they both expected her to be hurt by their news.

She left and I watched her a she walked away and then got up to follow her.

From what I saw Clara is not the kind that talks a lot and seems to keep to herself.

I quickly followed her and watched as she entered a room, and I went after her.

I found her sitting by a piano, “I came to check up on you? Are you okay?” I asked her and she nodded.

“I am fine” she said, and I looked around the room.

“You like music huh?” I asked as moved around the room.

“Yes, my mother was a musician. This room was made for her, so I come here sometimes” she said, and I nodded.

“Well, that’s amazing, can you play me something?”  I asked her and she nodded

She started playing the piano, I know nothing about music, but it was beautiful to listen to her.

Even the way her eyes lite up was something beautiful to see.

“That was really beautiful, thank you” I said, and she nodded.

“Can I ask you something? Its really private and it’s okay if you don’t answer” I said.

“You want to ask me about my wolf don’t you?” she asked me, and I shook my head.

“No, I wanted to ask you about when your mother died” I said, and she seemed confused.

“Ohhh, she died just before I turned 16 years” she answered, and I nodded.

“I am sorry about that, its really hard losing a parents and having people like Sasha and Justice around you probably doesn’t make it any better” I said, and she smiled a little.

I noticed that her smile doesn’t reach her eyes most of the time.

“you are human, trust me you will have it worse than I do” she said.

“But you stood up to them didn’t you?

There is something I cant seem to shake off about the encounter today” I said, and she looked at me.

“What is it?” she asked.

“their reaction when you congratulated them. As if they were expecting to see you get hurt by their news” I said, and she just shrugged.

“It doesn’t matter really; they are always like that.

Sasha always like rubbing things in my face, probably showing off that she might be the future Queen Luna” she answered, and I nodded.

“That might be the reason” I said leaving the room and she started playing the piano.

“But I don’t think that’s the case, I think its because Justice was your mate” I said, and she played out of tune for a second.

“Am I wrong? Was Justice your mate? Did he reject you because you didn’t have a wolf?” I asked her.
