Chapter 67: Will

Charlotte’s pov

There was silence.

I would hate to be right about this.

Because if I am right then Justice and Sasha would be eviller than I thought.

“I don’t know what you are talking about” Clara said, and I nodded.

“Thank goodness then,

I would hate that someone that would reject his mate would be the Alpha King.

He would bring nothing but misfortune,

especially with a wife and Queen Like Sasha” I said and then smiled.

“Well, it’s a good thing that would never happen right?” I said then walked away and went back to have breakfast.

“You were gone for some time, is everything okay?” Logan asked me and I nodded.

What I have is nothing, but a hunch and I will be honest I trust my hunches more than I trust people.

They have never really lied to me or disappoint me at all.

Every time they turned out to be true, even the way Clara denied it told me that it was true.

“I am okay, just had to follow a hunch” I said, and Alexa looked at me curious.

She knows that my hunches are always on point,

so she knows that I am onto something.

I know this has nothing to do with me, but I do know they will solve things for Logan.

If I don’t break the curse then I will need to leave this place because I can’t stay here and put him in danger.

So, I need to make sure that before that happens before I have to leave I will make sure he never faces any problems.

And the one way to do that is to get rid of his number one problem which is his older brother and his second problems who is Sasha.

Even if Logan doesn’t want the throne, someone who deserves it should have it but not them.

A leader who will be able to step up and lead with kindness is needed.

So, I can’t just sit quietly while the people around me suffer.

“Little brother you seem to be threatened by my news” Justice said to Logan who just took a sip of his juice.

“Why is that?” Logan asked him.

I love how he always manages to stay calm in these situation.

He never really loses his temper or says something stupid the way Justice does.

The more he talks the more I am convinced that he is a child in the body of a grown man.

“Because Sasha is the strongest she wolf in our pack.

And your mate is human, even though father favours you,

I really don’t think he will make you Alpha King with a human mate” he explained.

Well, everyone already figured it out that he would say something that stupid.

“Typical” Alexa snorted and then took a sip of her juice.

I should probably mind my own business, but I was the world the crumble under them.

Sasha obviously knows that Clara and Justice were mates and yet she still did this.

“If only our father was here to hear the great news” Dean said rolling his eyes.

After breakfast I took some food and went to the music room to give to Clara.

“You didn’t eat, so I bought you something.

I didn’t know what you like so I just took anything I could” I said putting the tray in front of her.

“Is it obvious? You are a complete stranger and somehow you sensed it. is it really that obvious?” she asked me, and I shrugged.

“I have no idea what you are talking about” I said, and she smiled.

“I deserve that, is it obvious that Justice was my mate?” she asked me, and I shrugged.

“Only to me, my father always told me that I have a really keen eye” I said as I sat down next to her.

“Would you mind telling me what happened?” I asked her and she just shrugged.

“There really isn’t much to tell.

Justice rejected me the moment he realized that we were mates.

I didn’t even have a wolf then, so I didn’t even know we were mates.

But I felt it, his rejection, I felt every bit of it.

the pain was unbearable” she explained, and I nodded.

“I am guessing it is also why you and your father moved away.

You didn’t want to see the mate that rejected you everyday” I said, and she nodded.

She then sighed and looked at me.

“I don’t like any of them, but the fact that I could be mated to someone who doesn’t even consider me a person did hurt” she said and then paused.

“A mate like him isn’t someone I would ever want. It did hurt back then but not anymore” she said, and I nodded.

 It been weighing on my mind ever since I met her.

What do they mean by her wolf is locked?

I have a theory, but I need to test it.

I don’t think her wolf is locked or whatever it is that they are saying.

I think it’s something that I know more than anything actually, but I need to test this theory first.

“You have this look on your face, its scaring me” she said, and I just shrugged.

“I know we don’t know each other well” I said, and she shrugged.

“We don’t know each other at all” she corrected, and I nodded.

She is right, I know a few things about her, but she doesn’t know anything about me at all.

“I am going to need you to trust me” I said,

“just a little bit and maybe I might help” I said, and she seemed confused.

I cant tell her how I came with the theory, but I think it might be true.

When I first got the blood mark curse I couldn’t do any magic at all for some time.

I remember thinking it was the curse, my magic always felt suppressed like there was something holding it back.

But when my father was in danger I had to choice but try to tap to that part of me.

To tap to that part of my magic and to try to save him, that’s when my father realized something.

Its not that my magic was suppressed by the blood mark curse.

Hell the curse only made me stronger for some reason.

My father had a theory, that my magic was being suppressed by my own fears and trauma.

I didn’t want to use magic because I felt like my magic was the reason my mother abandoned me.

I blamed having magic for the situation I was in at the moment, so I wanted it gone.

As a result, I casted aside the magic from inside me.

I suppressed it with my own will.

I think people underestimate the power of their will.

If my own will can suppress the enormous power I have, then hers could possibly suppress her wolf as well.

“I am honestly wondering why the hell would I trust a complete stranger?

But since you are Logan’s mate and I trust him,

I guess I have no choice but to trust you as well” she said, and I nodded.

I got up and looked for Alexa, like I suspected she was in a corner somewhere reading a book.

“I need your help;

I would like you to be around Clara for a few days.

There is something I want you to check out about her, if possible sleep in the same room as her” I said, and Alexa looked at me.

“So that girl is your hunch? What about her?” she asked me, and I just smiled.

“I will tell you all about it later,

but with your senses I bet you will know exactly what it is that I want you to check out” I said, and she rolled her eyes.

“Fine, but is she okay with it?

does she know that you want me to follow her around?” Alexa asked me and I shrugged.

“Not yet, she just knows that there is a theory I want to test out

. I think I will be able to convince her” I said, and Alexa rolled her eyes.

“Honestly, sister, I better not hate this whole thing.

If I am miserable in this theory and hunch of yours I will make you suffer” she said, and I smiled.

“Thank you so much, now lets do this thing” I said, and Alexa followed behind me.

“You have met my sister right; my theory involves her.

If that’s okay I would like Alexa to follow you around for a bit.

You see she has an even keener eye than I do” I said to Clara who looked at Alexa.

“Okay then, if you believe that this will help you figure out whatever it is that you want to figure out the okay” she said, and I looked at Alexa.

“Be on your best behaviour” I said, and she smiled.

“aren’t I always on my best behaviour?” she asked me.
