Logan’s pov

Should I tell her what I think about the curse or what I found out?

I mean this witch targeted my family and also target Charlotte.

Is it possible that I was the witch’s target?

I mean the witch made a proposal to Sasha.

Of all the people in the world she chose Sasha who is very vengeful and would do anything to achieve her goals.

This is could be the same person that is helping the witches hunting down Charlotte.

What is the connection between them?

Is it the same person or is it all just a coincidence?  

It can’t be right? 

there just too many coincidences for them to be just that, the first is that she is my trigger. 

The second is that Ryder had visions of Reene before he even met her.

But I noticed something as well, although they had the same faces they were different.

Just the same way Reene and Charlotte are different from each other.

The hairstyles, it was if the girl he saw in his dreams and was warned about was from a different time.

That is what made me think that maybe my soul got cursed at the same time and Scarlet’s soul.

But how and why?

Why would a werewolf have the same curse as a witch?

Not only that but an extreme curse that even brands their own soul.

This was usually done to people who committed atrocious sins that couldn’t be forgive.

But from what Sebastian told us Scarlet was mainly cursed because of their relationship.

Was there something more to what happened to her?

Did Scarlet really hide things from Sebastian?

The more I think about it the more it doesn’t make sense.

I get wanting to punish your daughter for falling in love with the wrong person but why go that far?

Why go as far as cursing your own daughter just because she loved someone you didn’t approve of?

Is there more to this story?

I hate that everyone who knows what happened back then doesn’t remember, doesn’t know the full story or is dead.

I couldn’t sleep all night, I was tossing and turning all night trying to decide if I should tell her or it.

Would it be a good idea to tell her?

What decision will she make after she finds out the truth?

She strikes me as someone who would walk away if it meant I would live.

And she is also just started opening up to me.

I am scared that she will shut down the moment she realizes that she is my trigger.

But what can I do, I feel like I only have a few pieces of the puzzle and In order to understand this mystery she needs to bring her pieces.

The problem is also the fact that she doesn’t remember anything that happened back then.

But I think Reene figured it out somehow before she died she figured out that I have something to do with the curse.

Hence why as her last resort she linked the both of us so we can find each other.

The next morning the pack mansion was quiet, everyone is probably nursing their hangover.

I went to check on my father, he was still in bed and saying he is feeling under the weather.

But I could see it, the guilt on his face, he had that look when mom died.

He felt so guilty that he couldn’t protect his mate and now its his childhood friend.

“Father I think there is something you should know” I said, and he gestured that I sit down.

I bet he could tell that I was about to tell him something really serious.

But I have to no matter what, it’s my duty as his son.

And if I do tell him then he will know to be careful around Sasha.

If she did this and failed I suspect she will try to do something else.

Since we don’t have any evidence against her there is nothing else we can do.

We just have to wait and see if she will make her next move anytime soon.

Charlotte suggested that we keep an eye on her and maybe she will lead us to the witch.

This witch, everything is stressing me out but for now let me deal with one problem at a time.

I started telling him everything that Charlotte heard, and I could see his face changing.

“Your friend didn’t want to betray you father; he had no choice but to do so to protect his daughter” I explained, and he nodded.

“I can’t believe that she did something like that to my friend. Doesn’t Sasha know how much her father loves her?” he asked.

“I think she knows exactly how much which is why she took advantage of his love and made him take the blame. She knew that he would rather take the blame that to see her in trouble” I said, and he nodded.

“Then is there a way to find him? Find him and give him permission to join a small pack.

A lot of people shouldn’t know about it, only you, your mate and his son Dean should know.

That way the rumours don’t spread” my father said, and I smiled.

I think I gave him a reason to look out for his friend which is good for me.

“I asked a few werewolves last night to follow him, its only the ones I trust.

I will ask for his location, I even have a pack in mind. Will take Dean with me and then we will go and see him” I said, and he nodded.

I could see that whatever burden was on his shoulders is now gone.

I looked around for Charlotte and found her in the garden with Alexa and Clara.

They seemed deep in a conversation and all the girls were smiling.

When I told her about the trip she nodded.

“are you sure? This could be really risky for you” I said, and she nodded.

“Maybe Mr Knight might have information to help us catch the witch” was her response and I nodded.

“I don’t want to go anywhere” Dean said, and I looked at my best friend.

“Do you trust me or not? If you truly trust me then you will come with us” I said, and he looked at Charlotte.

“You are a witch aren’t you? That’s how you knew that someone messed with his aura” Dean said as we were driving there.

“Plus, I remember when he was still looking for you.

In the city he said your scent was all over the place, something only a witch can do.

Not to mention that your movements seemed like that of someone who is on the run” he added.

“You are smart I will give you that, but why are you telling me?” Charlotte asked.

Dean just shrugged, “I am sure you must have your reason, your secret is safe with me” he said, and I smiled.

Dean is a lot like his father, they are really noble and wise which is why I found it hard to believe Mr Knight would betray my father.

“Well thank you then, we will also keep you secret as well” Charlotte said looking at me.

“What? I don’t have a secret” Dean said, and Charlotte just shrugged.

“Not yet, you are about to have one” she said as I stopped the car.

“Dad” Dean said looking at me confused.

“Logan what is this? I mean Alpha Prince” Mr knight said.

“Please call me Logan, I have always been that to you…

you see my mate here heard everything you spoke about with Sasha, you can’t be blamed for your daughter’s sins” I said.

He then looked at Charlotte.

“so we have a proposal for you, even the Alpha King has agreed to it. actually, it was his idea” Charlotte said and handed him the letter.

“This says my banishment has been lifted, and I can join this pack here.

Are you sure?

What I did is nothing short of treason” he said.

“You did it to save your daughter, but I bet you hated every second of it” I said, and he nodded.

“Don’t punish Sasha, I don’t know what is wrong with her, but she has changed” he said.

“What the hell is going on here? can someone explain?” Dean said.

I told him everything about my father’s aura and how we found out the person behind this.

How to avoid the blame she put her own father into the spotlight.

“I can’t believe she would do that to you” Dean said fuming, but Charlotte held his hand.

“Don’t lose your temper, I have a feeling your sister is going to do even something worse.

Now say your goodbyes to your father, we will go home, and you will pretend like all of this never happened” she said.

Dean nodded and that’s when I noticed it, she sounded like a Queen Luna right as she was talking.

As if what she was telling him was a demand and he had no choice but to listen.

“But what will you do next?” Mr Knight asked the both of us. “She is my sister, so I know she won’t just give up, how do you plan on punishing her for this sin?” Dean asked.
