CHAPTER 47: CROSSROADS

My eyes welcomed the darkness as though it was part of my life now. Frankly speaking, it was just that I could still see the daylight but a bigger part of everything my eyes saw was darkness.

I heard a creaking sound as I moved inside the closet I had hidden myself in. I adjusted myself again and then buried my head inside my thighs.

I had shifted a little when I thought I heard something move but now I was back to it.

Folded that way, hugging my knees, I had been crying for almost an hour.

Bree had left, despite my pleas, and rolled on the floor. I saw Liam come out of the Hunter's room and when I asked him what the Hunter had said concerning my proposal, he patted me on the back and asked me to be strong. It would only be for a while.

"Hunter is just a little worked up." He said, "It'll come to an end soon. Just give him some time. You can do this."

After about an hour of useless tears and even hiccups from the crying, I finally managed to carry myself back to my room.
