CHAPTER 53: REMINISCING

“Hunter, hunter, where are you,” I heard my father’s voice calling out to me. He was searching for me all around the house.

I enjoyed playing with the other pack kids and didn’t act any different even if I was the Alpha’s heir.

Turning around, I received a smack on my face with the words that turned my words around and made me into what I had become.

“Son, you don’t mess around with peasants, they’re not in your class. If you spend so much time with them, when it’s time for you to replace me, you will have no respect because they will all see you as a common thing.”

Dad’s words were piercing to me, but it was the truth all the same. He had changed my orientation and made me train and train and train some more. He made me strong and sent me on my first pack takeover at fifteen.

I didn’t have much faith in myself, but that first takeover and the words Dad had said to me made a beast out of me. Taking over the Blackwaters pack made me realize how much of a great warrior was
