Chapter Sixty-eight

Catherine's POV:

My fists clenched and unclenched as I watched Michael walk towards her in quick steps. He grabbed her roughly by the arm and pushed her against her car, his hand pinned around her waist. I cocked my head to the side, wondering if I was taking things overboard by actually being affected by the fact that he was holding her so closely.

"Mum, why is dad standing with that lady from yesterday?" Julia asked as she poked her head out of the window.

I turned to her and smiled. "She's been causing so many problems lately. So he's warning her to stay away from us."

Jason grimaced as he came up behind Julia. "I don't like her, mum. She's mean."

"Yes," Julia agreed. "She glared at you the last time she was here and Dad did nothing about it."

"You called him Dad again!" Jason laughed, pointing at her. Julia glared at him and faced me again.
