"Dad, what are we going to do? You took out a 1.5 million loan for that business deal, and the debt collectors will be knocking on our door soon. But all our funds are tied up in foreign accounts, and we can't access them right now!" Evan's voice wavered with concern.

Max took a long drag from his cigarette, remaining silent for a moment before speaking. "Before your grandparents passed, they left your mom a house in Bellavaus. It was part of her pre-marital assets, and I've brought up the idea of selling it several times over the years, but she's never agreed."

Rena chuckled softly. "That's easy enough to fix. Just let the debt collectors come after her. Evan is her son, and with his college entrance exams coming up, she won't let him suffer the consequences."
