“Wh…””

“Why is she here?” I asked moving closer to the cell they had her kept.

Jess stayed mute with her head lowered to the ground as she played with her nails.

“Jess,” I said, calling out to her.

“You are not saying anything,” I said.

The minute Ms. Elsa came out of the dark and walked into the light, I was shocked to find that they had her hands cuffed with chains.

“Why!!!” I yelled in aggression.

“This is wrong!!” I yelled.

“Damon found out about her helping you out,”

“And then had her locked in here from the night of your escape,” she said.

I moved closer to the gate of the cell and realized her wrists were slowly becoming sore from the effect of the chains wrapped around her wrists.

“Damon had her kept in here afterward!” she said.

“She doesn't deserve this!!” I said as I had my fingers wrapped around the gate.

I felt so paranoid seeing how badly they had her treated in my absence.

And without a single word to Jess, I stormed out of the basement heading out.
