Hundred and Fifty One

I felt my eyelids slowly being weighed down, making me so drowsy.

My limbs were suddenly starting to float, slowly drifting away.

This was more frightening than anything I could think of.

I was told that thinking can hurt your chances and I intend to last and so I tried so hard not to think about what was happening to me.

“Are you okay madam?” I heard Ella’s voice in my head soft in minor keys.

For some reason, my lips felt too heavy to be parted for a speech.

“You must lay down now ma’am,”

“While I call the medical practitioner,” Ella said, placing her hand over my forehead.

I felt too weak to move a muscle, I lay in bed clutching the sheets of the bed.

And suddenly, I couldn’t fight the pressure I felt from my eyelids closing up.

A few seconds afterwards…

I blacked out…
