After ensuring that we're truly alone and no one else is within the vicinity, she closes the door and returns to her seat at my bedside.

“It's a bit of a long story and I don't know all the details but I'll tell you everything I know about the incident. You see, Princess Larose was previously mated to a man named Nathan.
