Chapter 10 Indirect Connection

Maya’s POV

I was just confused by Alpha Zeke’s claim. But he didn't explain too much.

“Tell me something, Maya. Why did you come to this pack?” He looked curiously at me, instead. “I don’t believe in coincidences. And I doubt you came here because of something as silly as ‘love’.”

“What do you mean?” I swallowed hard, and replied nervously.

He walked towards the desk and took out some sheets of paper and old photos from the drawer, making my eyes dilate slightly with their contents. “Since our first meeting, I have ordered an investigation on your identity. You’re not just any human, you were an adopted human child. Whose parents are werewolves of this very Red Night Pack.”

It felt like a small eternity when he unmasked me. I was left speechless at that, for it was true.
