Chapter 12 The Mansion

Maya’s POV

It took about another half hour of driving, but we finally made it to a building near the Moon Valley. It was more of a secluded mansion, which stood silently with its tall, white columns framing the porch. A marble fountain at the entrance with its surrounding greenery highlighted the huge archways over the doors. Once we headed inside, though, I felt as if I was instantly transported to France. From the roof painting overhead to the vintage knick-knacks that dotted the shelves. Everything was so new to me. More than that, though…
