Chapter 15 Meeting the Witch

Zeke’s POV

I was sitting in my room, looking over some financial reports from Nocturne Co., as well as some projects and business proposals being made to other packs. Normally, I would be in my office doing this work, but feel uneasy leaving this room. Leaving Maya here alone.

A few days passed since she became free of Jayden’s mark, suffering the aftermath of the rejection in the process. Since then, she had been asleep in my bed. Stuck in a coma, as Maryanne said she would be.

Maryanne had been doing her job to check on her daily, giving her IV fluids as needed, and even helping her injuries heal, but there had been no sign of her waking at all. If it weren’t for the heart rate monitor she’s been strapped to, I would’ve thought she was… dead.
