Alexis's POV

My instincts told me to run toward the east, but the blood trail led me west. I'm glad I listened because the view that stood out in front of me only disgusted my thoughts on my deranged brother.

"What have you done, brother?" I asked spotting Nimrod with bloodied hands. "Don't even think about it. It's not my blood. It's his," he sneered looking toward who I assumed to be Essex's stepfather, Rendon. "That bitch cut me!" Rendon shouted. "Why are you helping this piece of shit? Father would never approve!" I shouted at him. "Keep your voice down you little cunt!" Rendon growled.

It took less than a millisecond to have my hand around his throat.

"Let him go!" Nimrod commanded instantly making me drop the ingrate. "How dare you command me? Where the fuck is father?" I said loudly hoping to grab the attention of our warriors. "FATHER DISOWNED YOU! You let me worry of his whereabouts," he said seething. “I should suck him clean of his blood!” I snarled.

With every waking day to that carry Phillip's pup, my back cries for relief. My golden hair flowed down my back with large waves framing my face. My skin glowed under the sunlight, but my lips were swollen with frailty to match my delicate feet. I didn't care these days. I only craved Phillip. My wolf whimpered at the thought. "Mother, will you pleases drop it!" I pleaded. "No! I begged the elders to honor your asylum. Don't you know how close the vote was? Do you have any idea?" she asked. "How could I not? You've only reminded me everyday," I said rolling my eyes. "How could you get yourself knocked up by that...by that runaway?" my mother scoffed. "He's not

It's been a while," she said embracing me. "It is always good to see you! Meet me in the gardens later, will you?" I asked. "Yes, my meeting with the griping Earls should not last long. Is everything okay?" She asked. "Not really. My mother is more conniving than what I ever imagined," I sighed. "Don't look so surprised," I smirked. "N-No, that's not it. It's just your family has hurt me a lot in the past. I guess hearing about your family opens old wounds," she said awkwardly. "I'm sorry," I said clasping her hand. "It's not your fault those twats mistreated me. I have to go. See you later?" She asked. "I've missed you," I cooed hugging her tightly. “Yes, see you later,” I smiled. After leaving my mother, I felt enraged, disappointed, and hurt. She grew lonely with her mate, who I know as my father. Lawrence's POVI cannot believe Matilda slipped through my grasp AGAIN! She will be MINE! I will never let her get away for humiliating me. Neither would Adelina. I ripped her pup from her wound. I thought that would be enough but she still breaths."Where have you been?" Karly asked the moment I walked into the gates of the North Kingdom. "Scouting," I dryly replied. "Where? I've been scouting for days and I've never come across your scent. Neither had I smelled your rogue team. So, where were you?" She asked placing her hands on her hips. "Karly, I'm royalty here. It's best you begin the treat me as such. Is that attitude any way to greet the wolf you share a bed with?" I asked turning her around to force her chest into the wall. "Do you...really think...having sex is going to fix this? It will not!" She complained as I shuffled around her dress for easier access. "No, but it may shut you up for some time I'm hoping," I chuckled ripping her garments from her skin. "Ow!" She squealed

He misses his aunt," I whimpered. "He doesn't even know me. I feel sorry for your pup because he has you as a mother," she murmured before turning to face the fire where tonight's stew was brewing. "You don't mean that," I whispered only to be ignored. The days drug on without my sister by my side. She had been locked away long ago the night they drug her away. She's been enslaved, but Lady Donyale and Sayid gave her linens and cooking duty. Meaning, I get to see her from time to time even if she was unaccepting of it. "Stop chasing Rose. I'm sure she will come to you when the time is right. After all, she's a traitor," my mate, Sayid said to me

Four years later...Essex and TaviWith all the pressures of the kingdom to bear an heir, the young couple came up empty. They tried for years on end with no luck. The court physician ruled it to be the stress of rescuing the South, East, and West out of turmoil is what caused Tavi to become barren. After hearing the news, Essex refused to believe the two of them could not conceive. The two of them decided to allow the cards to fall where they may. Most of their focus was on preventing another unnecessary war among the kingdoms. It didn't stop the prying elders and allies pushing their beliefs on them. Some even sent whispers of Essex and Tavi's Union being cursed, but the packs love them both. No one would dare challenge them for the throne, or so we thought. With their allies in place, the villages paid less taxes and worked the land so there was enough produce for the masses. Farming the lands proved plentiful and affordable for local farmers. Tavi distracted herself with trying to

AlexisTime continued to tick by without any signs of vulnerabilities in these steel walls of the North. Alexis had traveled to many kingdoms hidden in the shadows finding little to no threats to her brother, King Essex and his Queen. It wasn't until she came upon the walls of the fortress that had no name, or so she thought. During her scouting of this large steel walled fortress, Alexis had a couple of her scouts traveling with her to make it look as if she had been mauled by a bear. Alexis limped to the doors of the fortress pretending to beg for help before collapsing to the ground on her knees. After what seemed like forever, the guards of the North drug her in and tossed her into the dungeon. The scouts that traveled with Alexis were dispatched back to report as they've always done with news of an ultimate threat, but help never arrived. Much time had passed before Lady Donyale began using Alexis as her executioner to prove her loyalty. She did it so effortlessly, at least that

Lady Donyale With her plans slowly unfolding without a hitch, Lady Donyale decided the time was near to place her plan in motion. She would declare war on the Alpha King and Queen only after she made the first move. They wouldn't know what hit them. That kingdom was oblivious of the threat that grows against them daily and Donyale used it to her advantage. Lex and Lawrence did whatever she commanded unknowingly that they would have to fight to the death if they both wanted the north. Donyale was aware of little Karly making her play for the north too, which placed Lex in danger because his mate, Taysia hated the sight of him alone. She wouldn't help him fight to be triumphant. Who knew it would be this easy to manipulate wolves she often wondered. With her family staff in hand and family crest on her chest, Donyale felt more powerful as more weapons were being built in her honor and for her army. Her ultimate goal was to fulfill the goal her mother always hoped for. It's the very rea

Present day... Alpha Queen Octavia's POV It's been a while since I've heard from Alexis. Something isn't right. The blood oath we took in private grows weaker by the day. I worried about her often. I just hope her plan to infiltrate our enemies worked no matter the distance. Sweat prickled my skin in nervousness while fatigue set in often these days. My anxiousness about everything all at once kept me on edge. It wasn’t until a voice from behind called out that I hadn’t realized how parched I was."Still nothing from Alexis?" Quinn asked. "Nothing," I sighed peering out toward the courtyard. "Well, I'm sure she's fine. Alpha King Essex should be returning soon right?" She asked tying my corset. "Not soon enough," I shivered. "I'm sure he feels the same," she winked before leaving me alone in my chambers. With everything going on, I haven't had much alone time with my mate and my wolf; Gemini was unhappy. Essex is currently gathering our vampire allies to prepare for an attack no o

Alpha Queen Octavia's POV "MATE!" I called out but he wasn't there. The place had been cleaned of the wetness of blood long ago. It wasn't until Phillip and Elder Adalwolf turned the corner clean shaven and no longer covered in dirt with that I realized some time had passed. "My Queen!" Phillip and Adalwolf said in unison. "W-Where is my mate?" I frowned. "Your Grace, he has returned to the palace some time ago when you did not return after the war of the North," Phillip explained just as Antionette paced in with their three pups. "H-How long have I been under?" I hesitantly asked. "Many, many, many moons, my Queen," Antionette spoke up. I noticed the crazy stares I received. Was my appearance off? They seemed stunned in a sense. Other than that, I couldn't believe Antionette, the hateful traitor even bowed to me now. In my stead of frustration, I hadn't realized that my belly had swollen a great deal from its usual flat state. That would explain the odd stares from those in fron

Alpha Queen Octavia's POV Darkness. So much darkness. The screams of agony. Unrelenting suffering. The silence was almost deafening all of a sudden. The echoes of the dead could be heard surely to the land of the living, but more present than the skulls that lay in piles that surrounded me. I couldn't see Donyale in the shadows, but her cries of terror could now be heard. I was pulled to the underworld with Donyale with the help of Alpha Queen Lenora and D'Laurentis' blood mix. I felt their power radiate through me. My wolf, Gemini followed her commands without question. "What have you done, stupid girl?" Donyale said stumbling from the pit of darkness. "Saved my family," I replied subconsciously rubbing my belly. Still in a warped state. "YOU STUPID BITCH!" She called out. "Do you really think that mutt in your belly will survive down here? It's already dead!" Donyale shouted. I rushed her with the anger that filled me. Her words tortured me, but physically her power matched

Oliver's POV The bodies were falling from the towers and from the horses that bounded prematurely. Blood spilled in the dirt and shadowed the fortress walls. As our shields went up, so did the spears and arrows that shot in our direction before being taken out by the warriors we left at the perimeter. "Stay at my side!" I ordered Jamela. "Go get her!" She demanded of me before I was attacked at the side. "GO!" Jamela demanded before throwing off the rogue that thought he bested me. I trudged through the crowd fighting off massive rogues with red eyes and a stench that reeked of the dead. Alexis was nowhere in sight. "This way!" Jamela said leading the way. "Her scent," I said finally catching on. "Mate!" My wolf whimpered at the smell of her blood. She's undoubtedly hurt. The scent took us in the direction of the kitchen. "THERE!" Jamela shouted through our mate link. Too many guards to count charged in our direction trying to prevent us from crashing what looked to be preparin

Queen Octavia's POV I was restless to say the least. My dreams kept me up in my subconscious. "I need you to listen to me," the familiar voice of Alpha Queen Lenora spoke. "You're in the underworld. How is it that you communicate with me?" I quizzed. "We are bonded by true blood. Listen to me! You must drag Donyale to the underworld. It awaits her arrival. She's cheated death far too long. It must happen during the night of the red moon," Alpha Queen Lenora warned. "I need help. D'Laurentis is not being cooperative. There's got to be another way," I replied. "I'll meet you halfway. Listen to your wolf. Gemini will know what to do. Just do as I ask and the rest will come to you. DO NOT HESITATE," she warned just as I was being shaken awake from my nightmare. Every night I had a visit from Queen Lenora. She showed me things. It was almost as if it were snips from the past. Most times I could not hear what she would say. It was hunting. Lady Swan convinced me to want to listen. I some

Lady Donyale's POV "My lady, the prisoners have escaped!" One of the imbecile guards alarmed me. "WHAT?" I asked trudging to their usual holding cells. "They were here, but it looks like they had been digging that hole for some time. Someone must have helped them knock down the rest! There's no way we wouldn't have caught it!" The imbecile explained. My hands were around his neck and his body a heap of ash by the time I finished strangling him. I needed a blood sacrifice that would please my worshiper. An elder would have elevated my power beyond this world as it always has. "WHERE IS THE ELDER AND MY BLACKSMITH?" I shouted in anger. "Auntie, surely you have traitors amongst us. I say we sacrifice them!" Beatrice offered. "Don't be an idiot! If I knew who the betrayers were they would be dead already? GET ME A SACRIFICE AND FIND THOSE IDIOTS!" I ordered her. My anger rose by the second when a solution was not brought before me. The rage I felt barreled through the walls of the for

"It appears that he felt the need to appear to the werewolf Alpha Queen. I guess she called upon him," Nimrod replied almost sounding unaware. "Octavia?" I asked. "That's the one," he said snapping his fingers. "How do we end this?" Antionette asked sounding just as desperate. "My father's blood would surely be needed. Other than that, I'm not sure," he shrugged. "LIAR!" Antionette barked. "Don't you think I would have ended her long ago if I could. I helped her cheat death, but that was a witches doing who's now dead. My only job was to steal my father's blood and believe me that wasn't easy. The witch, Gertrude did the rest," he said agitated before leaving us in our thoughts.. The wheels were rolling in Antionette's head. So, we let her be. Antionette's POV "Phoebe! You stop that at once!" I shouted at my daughter. It was no use. That little she-wolf was just like me when I was younger. My youngest, the twins were unruly, but in the cutest way. My life had been quiet. Although, many suitors have tried to court me. I never felt them to be genuine. They wanted a Queen or what I used to be. Either they were widowed, ugly, or fat. In my heart I just knew that Phillip would return to me. "My lady, we have company," my nanny, Ana said out of breath. "We never have company," I said grabbing my pitch fork from the wall. "You'll never believe who it is, my lady," she gulped. I took one step out of the doorway and wanted to swallow my tongue. "What are you both doing here?" I asked clinging tightly to my pitchfork. "I was granted asylum! You cannot just march to my doorstep trying to imprison me in front of my pups!" I added glaring at them. Lincoln and Mckenna looked at each other in confusion before speaking up. "We need

Truth is, I've barely had a wink of sleep since my pup disappeared and I ate my sister. Served on a silver platter by kitchen omegas under the orders of Alex and Lady Donyale. If I had known…."Today is the day Lady Donyale will announce that I'll subsume the North with you as my Queen," he proudly said kissing my forehead. "It'll be just like old times," he cackled. "I would like my parents to be present at our wedding," I whispered. "We will invite the whole damned kingdom!" He boomed proud of his victory. "I'm sure you will," I murmured standing to walk toward the washroom. "Oh, don't be like that. I thought we had fun last night. Do I need to teach you how to obey me again?" He whispered in my ear. I shook my head in fright. His idea of teaching me a lesson always led to pain and blood that drizzled down my legs for days. Lex was a monster I never realized I knew.

"I don't remember much. Our camp was attacked. I went to fetch fresh water for our casualties before I was hit over the head with something HARD. I woke up here," I replied. "I'm so sorry, but I'm going to get you out of here," she replied. "H-How did you know I was down here?" I asked. "I'm a spy. I heard rumors about a prisoner. I went to the main dungeons, but they were all the same. It's when I began trailing Karly. She's not as clever as she thinks. Here, take this. It will help weaken the wolfsbane in your system faster. BuShit! Someone's coming," she panicked before I heard the clanking of the cells that kept me bound. I stuffed my mouth with the remnants of the moon flower Alexis had slipped me. I felt my strength being renewed little by little. My chains were heavy, but not as much as
