45| Turmoil and Tribulation

Vicky's heart sank as he heard the familiar voice of Mr. Johnson, the greedy administrator from his previous institution. He had thought he'd left all the drama and stress behind, but it seemed like his past was catching up with him.

"Vicky, my boy," Mr. Johnson said, his voice dripping with false sincerity. "I hope you're doing well in your new institution. I heard you're quite the star teacher there."

Vicky was wary of Mr Johnson's intentions and asked bluntly, "What do you want, sir?"

Vicky had written to Mr Johnson to issue his savings and arrears with him.

Mr Johnson did not answer Vicky's formal letter and instead made sarcastic remarks about Vicky's character, calling him a dodger. Vicky was so hurt.

Vicky was already aware of Mr. Johnson's greedy and mean nature, and simply wanted to warn him to respond to his letter if he had a legitimate claim.
