Professor Stephen Moor, the institution's head, sat behind his polished, wooden desk, his eyes narrowing slightly as Vicky entered. The afternoon sun cast its familiar, golden glow through the office window, illuminating the dust motes dancing in the air.

Vicky's hesitant knock on the doorframe respectfully broke the silence.

"May I come in?" he asked, his voice tinged with uncertainty but pleasant.

Professor Moor gestured for Vicky to enter, his expression unreadable.

As Vicky stepped inside, the professor's gaze swept over his nice suit, which included pointed shoes and a leather bag.

"Welcome back, Vicky," he said, his tone a bit measured. "Though, I must inform you, your...long absence has consequences, gentleman."

He paused, steepling his fingers. "Your position has been filled. We had to do that, you know. Students' studies and then exams."

Vicky was not surprised much, as he knew that that would happen. Vicky discussed his plan and the professor guided him well.
