Asher pov
I walked into the big hall, but behold I saw something that shock me, i was Aurora
As I watched her approach me with so much confidence, all I could do was just stand there like an ice-cold structure, not even a reply from me as I heard my name. What I could keep doing was to stand there as I wallow in my imagination.
In a matter of seconds, so many thoughts came to my head, and different types of flashbacks of us together. As I kept on lost in different thoughts, I felt a touch that brought me back to reality, a cold, soft, and gentle palm that I haven't felt in a very long time.
And behold, she stood in front of me with her good loving blonde hair, her cute-looking blue eyebows match with her eyebrows, and her gorgeous dress with her high heels, and with all that, I began to wonder what a transformation she has really made for herself, because this is not the Aurora I knew years ago, she has had so much confidence in her.
she waved with constant repetition.
"Like, is this really you, Aurora?" I asked, with not knowing much to say.
" She nooded, looking all confused and angry.
"I'm sorry, I'm just really surprised to see you, and you know it's been a long time since we have seen each other, I'm just in shock with the transformation," as I said to her without still not knowing what to say.
she stood there still looking very confused.
"Oh, sorry for the strange approach, what brought you to this event?" As I asked her with a falsely smile.
"I'm here for a presentation, I'm one of the presenters here," as she wrote with a big smile. With that big smile, I have not seen for so many years now, how I have missed that smile.
Presentation? You? Here? Like, seriously, I don't understand. I am really very confused. You're here? Like, I'm not getting it. As I asked, looking all confused and not able to compose a good sentence to say or ask.
As She looked at me with so much confusion and frustration.
"Don't you understand what I just said? I was invited to come present a speech at this event," she wrote.
"Wait! Like an invite here?" I asked, very much confused and in shock.
"You can't believe it, right? The rejected Aurora, the abandoned and forsaken girl, which you have long gone forgotten, can be here in this kind of event, standing in front of you, after all these years. you can't believe I can climb this high. You still keep underestimating me," she wrote with that sense of dignity, writing fast on her notepad.
"Aurora, please stop. We are in public. But how?" I said, covering the notepad.
"Aurora," I added, trying to hold her hand, but she kept pulling away from me.
Just as we were still talking, Sophia came. "What is going on here?" Sophia asked.
I look at my assistant ii a surprising look, how is it possible sophia was here
"Am sorry sir, I also informed her,as she warned me to tell her whatever your whereabouts", she said bowing her head.
"I can't believe my eyes. If this isn't the long-forgotten, useless, and trash can piece of shit and low-level girl, Kara! What brought you here? Bitch! Or have you lost your way to the toilet? Were you clean or what?" Sophia asked Aurora with so much anger, as if she should just stabbed her with a knife if she was holding one.
"Hey! Young lady, mind the way you talk to my boss," said someone with a dark suit who had been standing behind Aurora throughout the period we two had been talking. I could sense she's no longer the ordinary Aurora anymore; a lot of things have changed about her.
Aurora raised her hand to stop him from coming closer.
"Oh, wonderful. The whore has finally gotten a rich man in her cage. Tell me, baby girl, how did you do it?" Sophia asked, laughing and clapping so loudly.
Aurora, which was not able to hold back her anger, slapped sophia.
From that action she took, I saw that this is not the weak Aurora I knew back then. I can sense bitterness and anger all over her, and I know my actions five years back released a demon from the innocent beholder.
"Aurora! What has gotten into you? What is all this?" I asked with a very loud voice while I held her hands to prevent any further violence.
Just when I was holding her hands, her personal bodyguard, removed my hands and left with her. As I watched her being taken away, I began to wonder with so many thoughts flowing through my head randomly.
While sophia, on the other side, was just standing there looking straight into my eyes.
"Look at the chaos you have done in public. Come, let's go to the room," I said, holding her and taking her away.
As we entered the room, I asked, "What was the madness you pulled there? Are you out of your mind? Don't you know this is a public event?"
"Thank goodness no much people were around to witness this rubbish. Sophia, I didn't expect this from you."
"Oh really? Now you're blaming me? That low-class whore mute bitch slapped me, and you're trying to side with her? I really don't understand you," sophia said, her body vibrating and covered in sweat, while also her heart racing fast.
"You know what? I want to be left alone. Go to the other room," I said to her, my anger boiling all over.
"Are you serious right now?" she asked, her voice trembling as she left the room.
I took countless steps walking around the room, with so many thoughts coming into my head and also recalling every drama that had just happened there. With so many doubts about it, most especially Aurora's behavior.
Sophia's behavior is not a surprise to me; she has proven it a thousand times. But Aurora's behavior is strange. I didn't expect that from her. Five years have really made so much difference in her. With the actions she just pulled today, she is no more the Aurora I used to know. Definitely, a great difference has occurred.
As I kept on walking around the room and asking myself different questions with no answers about them, I can feel the sense of panic in me, something I have not felt for a very long time. I was looking confused and disorganized as I stood in front of the mirror, still pondering in my mind about Aurora.
"Oh dear, I didn't see this coming. It just hit me like a bomb explosion, and right now, I am confused about what to do," as I kept on talking to myself.
As I walked toward the fridge to drink a cup of water to help me cool off the intense heat in me, then suddenly a thought came into my head the thought of the beauty of Aurora. She didn't only change in character, but also changed in appearances. Yes, she was beautiful then; I wouldn't lie. But after this long space, she looks more gorgeous than ever before. The hidden beauty in her just came in all this period of time.
As I continued talking to myself, I thought, "If this is the Aurora I knew back then, she has really grown to so much maturity and beauty than I have ever expected." I flashed back to the moment when I held her hands to separate her from fighting with Sophia. I still feel her perfect soft skin, and also as I look straight into her cute-looking blue eyes calling to me, as I kept on wallowing in my imagination.
"If this was the Aurora I rejected a long time ago, I have really made the worst mistake of my life," as I sobered in my thoughts and came back to reality.
"What are you doing, asher? I need to have a shower and go out and take a walk. I think that will work to ease all these thoughts in my head."
As I was outside walking through the gardens with the good smell of roses and the cool air from the atmosphere buzzing all over, I walked down different paths and greeted different people who acknowledged my presence. Then, I suddenly saw Aurora..
Asher povShe sitting all alone on a lounge chair in an eye-catching terrace, with her beauty still glowing even more than when I met her earlier. As I looked from a distance and kept on admiring her beauty with so many thoughts, I was absent-minded with one of my hands lying on a pole. I stood there for some minutes, then gained some courage to go talk to her."At least, what is the worst that might happen? And again, I just want to apologize about what happened earlier with Sophia. Even if the two of them are feeling so proud to apologize to each other, it's the best I could do after all, because of me, they both quarreled earlier," as I said to myself. As I walked towards her, I could still sense some kind of fear in me."Good day, Aurora," I greeted with a deep breath. she nooded as she looked so confused and kind of angry."No! Please, I didn't come here for that. I am not here for that same drama again," I said to her.She brought out her notepad from her bag. With a deep breat
Asher pov I stood there with a pen, waiting for her to write. She could not talk, since she was mute, but her notepad served as her way to communicate. But it stayed shut, and her pen was tight in her grip."Come on, write something," I said, looking at the notepad. "Tell me if you agree."Yet she just stood still, not moving, as the wind softly rustled the leaves."Alright, I'll wait," I said, reaching for her hands, which she pulled away.Taking a deep breath, she turned and walked off, her head lowered. I was left with many thoughts racing in my mind. After she had walked some way, she glanced back at me, her face showing irritation. The event started, and a speaker went up to the front. "Good evening, everyone. Now, for the final but most important presentation tonight, let's welcome this young woman, who, even though she does not speak, has amazed everyone with her incredible success. She grew her company from nothing to one of the best in the field. Ladies and gentlemen, please
Asher povMy eyes widened in astonishment as I beheld Sophia standing in front of me."Have you been drinking?" she asked when she noticed the broken bottles on the floor."What do you want?" I snarled.Sophia's words were not true. "I'm not going to sit around and let everything we've ever struggled for slip away," she warned, pushing me into the room. She strode over to me, eyes burning with purpose; I retreated from her, backward in the direction of the bed.I could feel the intensity in her eyes as she walked up to me. She was out to have it with me over something, and from the look in her eyes, it was not going to be pretty. "Sophia, what is wrong?" I tried to stall. But she would have none of that. "Don't play dumb with me, asher," she said in a low, even tone. "I know all about your little infatuation with Aurora."Saying that, my guiltiness surged into my feelings, but I did the best to hold myself poised. "I have no idea what you are talking about," I lied, trying to sound a
Asher povMorning light crept inside the room, the passion of the previous night still fresh. I woke with a pounding headache-the remnants of the hangover still there. Lying beside me was Sophia, and a sly smile grew on her lips."Good morning, my alpha," she whispered, very low and seductive.I rubbed my temples, trying to ease the pain. "What was last night all about?" I asked, my voice filled with confusion and curiosity.Sophia took a deep breath before responding. "I'm the luna, and I know what my alpha needs at any given time."I raised an eyebrow, incredulous. "Sophia, I know that, but your behavior last night was unlike you. You didn't use protection or your pregnancy prevention pills. What's your game in all of this?"Sophia's smile never wavered. "Don't start this morning, asher. I know you enjoyed the passion, and I did too. Let's not spoil the moment. And if you're not satisfied, we have plenty of time this morning."I caught her hand, which was reaching to touch my chest.
Asher povI stood there, dumbfounded, my eyes scanning in every direction for the minutest trace of the mysterious figure; he had vanished into nowhere.I shook my head, trying to put together what was happening. First were the revelations of what Sophia had been into-the stuff sent my head reeling-and then, all of a sudden, here is this figure who just materialized and then in almost a single instant, poof.I looked down at the folder still clutched in my hand, the documents inside showing some real shockers about Sophia's actions. I knew I needed to confront her, but some part of me just wouldn't take action.Maybe it was just some kind of setup. Maybe Sophia was totally innocent, and this phantom figure wanted me to think otherwise?Shrugging off my doubts, I went up to my hotel room with my mind swimming in questions and doubts. The minute I stepped into that room, there sat Sophia upon the bed, more innocent than one human mind can fathom. But I knew a thing or two about her inno

Where does she place the interest of our people? The air grew thick with tension as I approached headquarters. Pack members were huddled together, speaking among themselves.I steeled myself for the coming fight and took a deep breath. I wasn't going to let Sophia's actions tear our pack apart.I got out of the car and began to walk towards headquarters with my assistant. The curious and hostile gazes turned to me as we entered the building.I tuned them out-mentally set my focus on what lay ahead of me. "We gotta talk."She looked up at me, a weak smile on her face. "Asher," she whispered. "I'm so glad you're here. I have been feeling so unwell."I snarled; all my anger boiled then. Asher pov Just when I was deep in thought, my phone rang. Upon looking at my phone screen, it was my mother. "What does she want?" I murmured in frustration."Hello," her voice was heavy on the other side of the phone, as I picked up the call."Yes, Mother. I am with you," I said, followed by a deep breath."What is this I'm hearing, Sophia again?" she asked, sounding worried and curious. "One of the elders just called, and with what he was telling me, he said Sophia is pregnant. How is it possible?""I understand you, Mother," I said, shaking my head in disappointment. "Even I am also confused about it.""What is it you are confused about?" she asked, sounding angry. "Isn't she your luna? You suppose to know all about this.""Mother, Sophia is very difficult to understand," I said, scratching my head in confusion. Asher pov As the tension was beginning to get intense I waited patiently for Sophia's response, in order to know the next step of what to do. I watched the clock as minutes turned into hours, with every tick of the clock giving me a heartbeat, my curiosity increasing. Finally, the maid came back, and as my curiosity couldn't allow me to stand and watch her come to me, I walked up to her."Any news?" I asked, my eyes widened in curiosity."Yes, my alpha," the maid said, bowing her head. "She accepted without hesitation.""Without hesitation?" I asked, standing there in shock. "That means she didn't even argue?"The maid just nodded, still with her head down."Wow, this is new," I said. "Thank you, you can go."I nodded for her to take her leave. I watched her take leave, with my mind occupied with worries. Could Sophia be telling the truth? Could she be truly pregnant?I didn't go and meet her all through the night, as I slept in another quarters. It was the break of dawn, and I was a
